Unreal Tournament 2003 demo

Post by Ice Cream Jonsey »

Are any of you guys looking for this? I grabbed it off a site that an individual had up (which is no longer active). Personally, I don't want anyone on the planet who is tangentially aware of Jolt Country to have to sit in a FilePlanet queue to grab it. That's just my thing. I don't know how much competition there's been for grabbing the thing, but if any of you guys want it and can't get a decent DL speed, give me a holler and I will host it for a few days on-site.

I haven't installed it yet (and frankly, I am mostly curious just to how it will look rather than play) but I might dork around with it for an evening in multiplayer. I'm guessing there's no wallhacking or aimbots out for it yet, which is all the more reason to play around in the first few days.

I found a Counter Strike type mod for classic Unreal and I just love it.

OK, I am uploading the UT 2003 demo and will reply when it's loaded.

I am also uploading a file called "Dancing3DLuder.exe." This is a plug-in for Winamp that will display a crazed Poser model of a nude woman who dances to your songs. Use of this plug-in is not recommended and I include it mostly because it is horrible and will make you lose faith in humanity at large.

I'll place the link to that file when it's up as well.

What kind of transfer speeds are you guys getting?

Actually, I ended up downloading it from gamesdomain.com, at a fairly blistering speed, so if Jonsey gets sick of hosting it, try there.

60 Kilobytes each and every second.

That is my equation for the game. It is Unreal with out the Nali's. I'd prefer to play classic Unreal.

OK, I'm going to kill the UT demo sometime this week. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. (If you're presently downloading it, send me a private message or e-mail or something.)

The, ah, Luder I'll leave up.

Also -- I found a zipfile that has a bunch of .MODs from one of the Crusader games. (I don't know if it's Crusader: No Regret or Crusader: No Remorse.) If anyone wants 'em, post to this thread. The threshold of demand for me starting up my FTP client is, indeed... "ONE"!!!

I can't remember the Crusader music very well and don't remember thinking it was extraordinary or anything, but if you put it up, I'd definitely download it and give it a listen... because I have way too much free time.

OK, no prob. I'll update this mail when I get it posted.

We have a game against Chad Lace and the Stevens Stompers at 9:00, though. I'll try to get it posted before then.

OK, the Crusader MODs are right here:

I am not a big techno fan (if that is in fact what the applicable genre is; I think it is) but these are pretty solid, I think.

PS We beat the Stompers.
