Pre Release Dates question

Post by milkunits »

I am a little intrigued by the new Oddworld Strangers Wrath for the Xbox.

I notice babbages has the game listed as a pre release date of 1-25-05. Does anyone know if I show up at Babbages tomorrow, will they have any copies in the store?

Just curious what others have experienced.

I know, I know, I could pick up the phone and call tomorrow, but come on now. Here is a short synopsis of how this call would go.....

Babbages

Hello, I was wondering if you have any of the new oddworld game for purchase

uhhhhhhhhh, I am not sure, let me get the other dude who works here to look uhhhhhhhhh

tap, tap, tap, tap, tap

Uhhhhh we think we got some in, but we have not found the time to go through our shipment.

Ok, thanks for wasting 10 minutes of my day to tell me that.

I just pre ordered and selected in store pick up at my EB Games.

Anyone had any experience with them? Can I expect the game to be in tomorrow and available for pickup?

I could have got it to ya weeks ago if you wanted it.

It's very.. different.. than other Oddworld games. I haven't been back to it, but that doesn't mean much.

In my experience, you'd have better luck anywhere but EB.. they sell on release date no matter how many they have prior to it. Robb might know better though as he actually worked there.

Jack Straw, he is a friend of mine!

Now when you say weeks ago, do I still have that option?

Will said game play on my Xbox?

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

So, with above mentioned information, should I save my 50.00 and invest in one of those little enhancements they have to play games of this sort?

I have been meaning to do it. Do you have any further info?

Let me know, I may be canceling my pre order in store pickup with EBGames.

Thanks Man, you always come through in a big F*&^ing way!!

Any suggestions?

Which one you have?

Is it difficult?

Where do you take ownership of said games?

Is Oddworld hard to find?

Is this turning into a "ask Jack Straw session"

If you were food item, what would you be?

milkunits

I guess I have to read

They have a nice guide on there.

I am still curious where you get images and which mod you went with.

I am canceling my order now.

Thanks DUDE, I will wash your car sometime and rake the leaves.

What's this new Oddworld game like? I figure it has to be better than the last one (which I didn't want to hate but couldn't do anything about that), but no matter what, having been disappointed in different ways since the first one, I have a hard time believing in the franchise.

Well, I have decided to get www.ultrafeed.com going again. I had some success last night finding some warez.

I got Blinx, but can not find Oddworld Stranger Wrath.

I have ordered a

Xenium Ice Solderless Xbox Mod Chip
SKU XBOZXENISL
Price $ 59.99
Quantity 1 item(s)

from these dudes www.consolesource.com

In the meantime, I am going to go ahead and purchase Oddworld, warez it, and redistribute via Ebay.

Hey Straw,

Any good newsgroups you use for games?

Oh, no, what have I done? Warez shit like EA sports. Oddworld is actually an original game in a sea of shit.

I have no idea what chips are current. I have an Executer2 in mine and some obsolete chip they don't make anymore in my brother's.

source of games: alt.binaries.cd-image.xbox
a.b.games.xbox

use a program called xiso or simplexiso (or whatever's current) to make multidiscs out of downloaded games or to rip retail discs.

If I was a food item, I'd be cannabutter.

If I were a food item...

If I were a food item, I would be edible under garments, the female version.

I guess this is very similar to me wanting to be a bicycle seat my whole life.

Why, Why, Why can I not be a bicycle seat.

What a world, what a world.

I guess this chip I bought has recovery built in, so if I get a bad bios loaded I can recover without USB crap.

Should be cool! Thanks for kick my bicycle seat area into gear to finally crack the Xbox for a chip.

You can find good dates on the internets.

It depends on which internets you use though.

What would a man have to do?

Post by milkunits »

Straw,

What would a young man, like myself, have to do to get an iso off ya for Oddworld?

I do one hell of a toilet bowl cleaning. No skids left after I clean it up!

Thanks,

An SASE would work fine, also an uploadable site would.

That is, a
Self
Addressed
Stamped
Envelope,

Self-Addressed to you (milker), with a Stamp or adequate return postage on the Envelope, containing a blank DVD.

Cuz if you send me another DVD without stamps Imma burn porn on it and throw out your envelope.
