I used to go to a Christian church youth group when I was about 14-15.

Then from ages 15-19, I was pretty damn liberal, I listened to bands like Pennywise, NOFX and Bad Religion and I was convinced that religion was the root of all evil, and I acted like Christianity was a joke.

I was your average, arrogant jerk-wad atheist until I was about 20/21.

Then 9/11 came and I kinda got over my atheism and realized Christianity is probably the "LEAST HORRIBLE" religion in the world, so I decided to stop hating it so much.

Then, the more and more I saw liberals and atheists like Michael Newdow BASHING THE HELL OUT OF IT, I dunno, I guess I kinda felt sorry for the underdog and decided I'd start sticking up for Christianity whenever I saw some chickenshit atheist bashing it.

Also, I looked at the people.

I looked at religious Christians, people from the South, and "rednecks" or "Good Ol' Boys" and most of them seemed pretty tough, manly and respectable.

When I looked at the liberals and atheists around me, they looked skinny, and weak, and feminine, and nerdy.

I've just never seen a liberal atheist who looked like he could kick my ass.

I respect power and strength.

If a dude looks like he can kick my ass, I'll respect him more than if he looks like a frail little weakling nerd-boy.

I realized that atheists are weak, and Christians are strong. Not all Christians, but at least a few.

Conservatism and Christianity just seem more "macho" I guess than liberalism and atheism. Conservatism seems like a MAN'S ideology, and liberalism seems like a BOY'S ideology. At least in my opinion.

I didn't like who I was as an atheist liberal.

I like who I am as a conservative and a nationalist.
