Goddamn Fucking Saints Redux
They should have won yesterday. Shitty playing, crappy play calling, whither much-vaunted New Orleans D? They stood around like a bunch of yokels gawking at the skyscrapers in New York City, mouths open as they look up, much as turkeys are said to do when it rains, thereby drowning themselves. Stupid fuckers.

Well, I wouldn't go so far to say that they suck, per se, but at least with this loss there is something that the team can take from it. (Unlike the Lions loss, where there were no positives from it whatsoever.)
Brooks was throwing off his back foot and chucking a ball up in a desperate attempt to not get sacked, which was the main problem with his game last year. I have no idea why he decided to suddenly regress like that. He hadn't made a play like that the entire season and then suddenly he made two of them. While the safeties played well, our corners are just overmatched out there. Even when everyone is healthy we don't have great CBs, but when they are hurt it causes guys like Fakhir Brown to play. Hopefully Keyou Craver finally comes back after the bye. I don't want to be one of those guys desperately hoping that Dale Carter gets reinstated... but I am desperately hoping that Dale Carter gets reinstated.
The linebackers need to get better against the run as well. It's as simple as that. And Darrin Smith -- geez, how many seasons would he have to play before he realizes that he is going to get flagged for bringing a guy down by his face mask?
I can only hope that some instruction is given to the guys over the bye and they realize that they can beat any team in the league if they play their game. The offense has never been this good. This is also the first time that the Saints have ever been given a bye where it can help them (we had ours scheduled for week two or three last year, which was horrible) so if Horn, Stallworth and Hand can heal up properly it should help us as well.
The loss sucked, but I think that the team will react well towards it and cream most of the teams they face the rest of the way.
