Well, I listened to it. The first part, anyway.
It was 73 minutes long and it only took me an hour to get into work so there was still some left as I got in my car for lunch and physical therapy.
I don't know how to fast forward or rewind CDs in my car yet and I recorded the first MP3 as one big blob. Not wanting to have to listen to the the first hour again to get to where I left off I had to leave it in. Of course, life is quite wonderful for me and it was quite the shock to go from my happy, care-free, slappy-go-lucky lifestyle into what amounted to a sad hearse inhabited by a ultra-morose disembodied voice.
Ben said he was DEFINITELY going to get me more tracks for Don and Mike! Hahah, that one guy suckering us all in with his wife's death was pretty good radio and I hope Ben sends over the episode where they do the "big reveal." This has the potential to be the best radio gag yet!

Crap, had a reply written, and accidentally quit my browser.
Here's a link to his July 15th show (best one this past month, IMHO):
http://www.cvs.rochester.edu/people/c_f ... breuer.mp3
There are 4 guys on the show:
Jim Breuer - comedian, does great impressions
Pete - fellow comedian, does some singing on the side
Larry & Shaka - friends of Jim's from high school, pro musicians
This show is different than his normal show, in that they scored a performance studio at Sirius and jammed for 2 hours. It's normally just them sitting around a table and shooting the shit.
I'm going to pull the file off the server on Monday, so be sure to download it this weekend.

You're not kidding....it's going to be like opening the floodgates. I fully expect his first show to go at least 6 hours while they play every bit and say every word that gets cut out from the current show.Jack Straw wrote:thanks man, good shit right there!
Howard's gonna "pwn" so much "ass" when he gets on "sirius".

So, Sirius has Jim Breuer... and the other one has baseball. God-dammit. I really was thinking of getting one of these.chris wrote:You're not kidding....it's going to be like opening the floodgates. Baseball is the only sport that's any good over the radio.
Shit.
SHIT.

Tell me about it. I don't mind the Yankees regular broadcast team (Susan Waldman and John Sterling), but not every game is carried locally on the radio, and the incessant commercials and plugs is really annoying. They actually have an "official bottled water of the Yankees broadcast booth".Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:So, Sirius has Jim Breuer... and the other one has baseball. God-dammit. Still, I think Sirius is worth it without baseball. We watch a LOT less TV since we got it....just turn it on at dinnertime for commercial-free music, let it play during the early evening, and then record Breuer's show from 9-11 so we can listen to it at work the next day. We listened to a little bit of Vinny "Big Pussy" Pastore's "The Wiseguy Show" yesterday....pretty friggin' hilarious.
