I lost my Masterpieces CD :(

Post by Lysander »

So, I never got around to putting the games off of INfocom Masterpieces onto my new laptop, and now I can't find it. This... irritates me. Of course, I can't buy it becasue it's been cheerfully out of stock for, oh, half a decade.

...Argh. just, argh. Now that I really want to play these I can't.

I'll mail it to you (Lysander, not cliche user). Here's a quick FAQ.

Q: OMIGOD! Will you mail ME games?
A: Tell you what... if you're blind, living in Alaska and then choose to go to college in Alaska... then yeah. You deserve something.

Q: Oh. Well fuck you, then.
A: ...

Q: Stop it.
A: Sorry!

On the other hand, I promised Mike a copy of the new baseball game and it's been a month. The thing has been in a mailer for a month. I can't express how much I despise going to the post office. So there's that. On the third hand, it's free.

Not meaning to cut into your hilarious pathos there, but wouldn't it be easier to just zip the dat files and IM/email/link in THE SECRET DOWNLOAD BASE for me? I also despise going to the post office. Somehow, I havent' checked it in a month and even though I do absolutely nothing that requires mailing I just know that somehow I've managed to get Something I Don't Want (TM).

And what's wrong with UAA?

Besides the fact that there's already an inch of snow on the ground so now my chances of veering offroad in my sojourn from the dorm to the bus stop and ending up in the middle of a naked mansex orgie take a belated increase.

Sort of a very cold, deliverance twist to it. This makes me afraid to think about what the people do in the long cold winters there.

Yeah! and he could put the saxophone solo mp3 there as well!
What a great idea.

lazy fucks, none of you like leaving the house, it's not the post office. If they ever let one of you work from home you could pretty much toss your cars or in Lyanders case, his rascal, sled dogg or snomoile off the nearest cliff.
the last group complained, quite tellingly They said, "Why don't you have a spoon that just says 'Earth?' It would save time

You hit the nail right on the head there KtC. I work from home and don't even leave the house for days, especially in the winter. Any day without cleaning fucking snow off my car is a good one.

Damn, that was me. I guess I'm so lazy that I can't even bother to write two letters in the username.

Yeah, this might work best seeing how I forgot to bring the disc into work today. Pleasant tomorrows!

Have you managed to save up any more money for a vehicle? You're the only person I know whose savings account goes down on a month to month basis. On the other side of a Black Hole you'd have your new wheels by now.

Did you just call me "Yuppy Wheels"? YUPPY WHEELS?

...

... The fuck does that even mean?

And I want you to know something. I want you to know something and to dwell on it as you drift off into a loveless sleep, a shallow and fitful slumber, a knot of unpeace, this sad clown's only release... I want you to know something now and think about it every free moment you get.

I offered you a car for free.

But instead, you told me to go fuck myself and now I am one of like 10 people in the country with a stand-up Xenophobe in their living rooms. Hey, now that I think about it, that game has rollers to get it around! More wheels you don't have access to! My offer still stands - come get it and maybe you can drive it to work and back! Haw haw haw!

Yeah, but I retired that one, which is why I am mousing around the issue. I'd also like him to drink something, but I can't talk about that, either.

I have no idea what the above means.

I don't want your "neon" and I didn't tell you to go fuck yourself when you offered to give it to me.
