Bus driver sacked for GTA play
Driver was playing PSP at the wheel

The Daily Record is reporting that a bus driver has been sacked for playing on his PSP at the wheel. The man had the handheld on his lap and was using it as he drove his route.

According to the report, passengers only noticed his attention was diverted when they heard sounds from the game, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, echoing around the bus.

Bosses at Blackburn Transport in Lancashire received complaints from 'horrified' passengers, who claimed the driver played the game even when the bus was in full motion.

One passenger said - "He was playing a Grand Theft Auto game and the screams of the characters being shot could be heard all around the bus. I find it hard to believe that anyone driving a car with a PSP on their knee would be considered a safe driver - doubly so a person in charge of a singledecker bus capable of carrying 40 to 50 passengers."

Playing with the sound on at work is just making a mockery of everything decent, and it sounds like the only way they were able to catch him. I know it's a pain in the ass to hold the "mute" button down for three seconds, but you've gotta do it.

PRESENT PSP GAME IN SYSTEM: 1993 hack of Super Tecmo Bowl. Still have not put an actual disc-based game into it yet.

*I'm basing this on the recent lawsuit in the UK where a guy got money because people were mean to him on the Internet.

Yeah. Sound on was a little too much. I do love how horrified everyone was. This really prompts me to start playing GTA:LCS with portable speakers. Maybe I can hake the PSP Quake to run Kingpin? That'd be a riot. "FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING PIG FUCKER PIECE OF SHIT"

You know, if you're DRIVING, you really shouldn't be staring at a PSP screen all the time.

I'm incredibly amused at hte concept of someone driving in reality and driving in GTA at the same time.
