And GIF?...

Post by cauldron »

Hi,
If I'm correct the GIF format is not used by HUGO, will it be one day?
I know there was a licensing question with GIF but I've heard the license is no longer valid and that GIF is now a free format.
It would be nice if we could use the transparency property of GIF...

(sorry for my english)

It's funny, I was thinking the same thing. Should licensing be taken care of, I'd be a big fan of GIF support, because that allows me to put animated GIFs in a game. I know that AVIs are quite possible and I can imagine Kent thinking to himself when he reads my post, "Yo dumbass, it's just as easy to make AVIs frame by frame as it is in Microsoft GIF animator" so really I have no excuse here... but still. Microsoft GIF Animator is like my favorite Microsoft app. It's so cozy.

I actually spent half an hour one day trying to figure out why my images weren't working. I had saved them as GIF (not animated). I'd appreciate GIF support as well.
