I know it's got to be a pain to move all those games to Vegas, but still. It's in Las Vegas again. AS IT SHOULD BE!!!

I was JUST gonna write y'all about this.

I'm in. I'll fly in. I wrote Dayna about it at work today because she'll need to take the day off. I am hoping that Pinner is in because it's a few hours from him. I think it's safe to say that this is something we seriously need Greg for, so I'll write him. But it wouldn't be the same without you, Jon, or One of the Bruces. It just wouldn't.

Plus, I can't believe I have only hung out with you once in my life. That's got to change and quickly. We have a lot of catching up to do as well.

So, I'm there. I'm THERE. I'll start posting the contents of their website here to drum up interest.

A friend of mine hooked me up with some of the rarer Pixies singles. I guess on one of them, they did a cover of "Theme from NARC." I was actually really surprised to hear that the game had a theme song and had to fire it up just to make sure they weren't making that up.

Anyhow, I mention this here since ICJ and I played NARC a little bit at the last one.

I've tentatively got the days off.

Are we gonna DO this BITCH?

Here's a thought. Roody could drive down from Minneapolis to The Loo, and get into my big white minivan, affectionally called "The Maggot". Then we could caravan in one scrotecrushingly long day to Denver, where we could crash at ICJ and V's, and then pile them, and the Milker if he's going, into the Maggot, and ride hell-for-leather for Vega$.

Then after the CGE we could do it in reverse.

Except that that would be a lot of time off work for me and Roody.

I would be in favor of this. Vx hates flying (well, I hate it too but for different reasons) so I would imagine she wouldn't be against this either. ROODY???

Hey, I'll fly to Vegas, how much freaking out can I really do in 45 minutes when I'm well-liquored up? It's the trans-continental, 4 hour flights with multiple stopovers that get me. It's no fun feeling like the plane is falling apart 40 GRRRRRR feet in the air passing over a thunderstorm in some backwater state.

But, that being said, either way is fine with me, it's just hard commuting somewhere on a time schedule and not being able to stop, which is why driving to California was so hard. My man took good care of me and drove me there for his friend's wedding, but we didn't have enough time with those people, and I was constantly wanting him to take exits to really cool national parks in Utah. I'll let those more likely to do the driving/paying decide.

National Parks Pass. Best $50 i've ever spent.

(Most $50 I spend goes up in smoke!)

The plane can't fall apart.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

I actually have been meaning to check out St. Louis for a while, although to be honest, I'd still probably prefer flying in just because it'd probably save me money in terms of not having to miss extra days of work... plus all that driving.

Maybe the same idea can be applied to another trip sometime.

Well, OK.

Howard Sherman just moved AdventureCon from Vegas to Atlantic City, and from August to September.

Now, I have absolutely no desire to go to AC, and I'm planning on being in Canada all of September anyway, and it's like 2500 miles from Clearwater, BC to Atlantic City, NJ, so I won't be giving any presentations at AdventureCon, so I'm feeling much more free to go to CGE.

I gotta admit, there's a lot to be said for a 3-hour plane flight to Vega$ rather than a 24-hour road trip.

So what I'm saying is that we should totally DO THIS BITCH.

As soon as we have a critical mass of commitment, I will purchase a room, a registration, and a plane ticket. I will do this thing.

Bruce

P.S. If we go to Ruth's Chris again maybe this time Jonsey will not order his steak shoe-leathered. Although I want to go to some of the bars advertised in Modern Drunkard Magazine. Like the Double Down Saloon, "The Happiest Place On Earth."

Although....

If we drove, we would totally go through BAT COUNTRY.

If you've read the great work of the late, great Hunter S. Thompson, may he rest in peace, you know all about Bat Country. But if you don't, well, here's Avenged Sevenfold's take on it:

http://www.avengedsevenfold.com/batcountry/

Of course, if we do this, someone else will have to drive, because I will be out of my head on cheap domestic beer and ether. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more vicious and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge.
