Free shit from Microsoft
Microsoft has a thing called Club Live in which users play little Flash games tied in with Live Search. The games are kind of lame, but for playing them you get points which can then be redeemed for prizes like Windows Vista, an Xbox 360, or a Zune.
One of the games is called Chicktionary, and for a perfect game you get twenty points. Someone wrote a bot for the game that will solve it perfectly in about thirty seconds, and you can set it to solve a bunch of games in a row so you can leave it overnight.

Me, I'm going to go for the Xbox 360 gamepad and a copy of Flight Simulator X for me, and a Zune for my friend.
Edit: Here's a bot for Crosswire.

ctelifn is not a motherfucking word.
I guess I'm going to go with Vista. I've always wanted to own an OS.
EDIT: I still remember when I had to single handedly rewrite someone's fucking tree chopping macro in UO because it was such fucking garbage code. Most people who commit free work for cheating are fucking idiots, sadly.
Do I need a special browser for either of these, or what?

I don't know if you need a "special" browser; I'm using Firefox 2.0 and it works fine.
Unfortunately my Chicktionary bot is hung up at CTEBINA. It's been doing this a lot; I think Microsoft may be on to us. The guys over at Something Waffle are doing it too, in much greater numbers. MS might have realized something's up.

Great, the bristling masses ruin it again. Why can't anyone realize things like this can't be posted on forums with a BILLION 12 YEAR OLDS ON IT?
They have a script up on that page (for flexicon ) that Rick Rolls you. Honestly, I'm glad a bunch of people who can afford to spend money on this shit are having lots of fun ruining it.
The one chicktionary bot uses a proper anagram site, where as the one gets stuck. I wish these guys would post their source code so I could fucking set it up properly.
EDIT:
Okay, that autobot doesn't work because the guy is using a shit anagram list and it hangs on any word it can't get rather than properly bombarding the program. The semi-auto ones are pretty much all that work.

Actually it's because he made it so you have to be logged into LUElinks to use it.
The new method of cheating at Chicktionary is to use Tsearch.

Why can't you view the instructions? I'm pretty sure GBS is readable to those without accounts, but whatever.
TSearch Instructions
* Open the firefox.exe process.
* Click the "Find" magnifying glass.
* Type in 280 and wait for it to find them.
* Type in any legit 3-letter word in the Chicktionary game.
* Click the "Find Next" magnifying glass in TSearch.
* Enter 272 as a value. It should find one result.
* In the left pane, double click the result.
* In the right pane, change 272 to 8
* Click the checkbox thing, to freeze the value.
* Go back to Chicktionary and type in another legit 3-letter word.
* You win.

It's actually unlikely that Microsoft will stop this anytime soon. The money they get from the Live Search tie-in far outweighs the money they lose shipping out prizes.Worm wrote:I just went for that and opted out. I figure that the 360s/Zunes have to be out of stock, and at this rate Microsoft is going to clear all the points soon and try to rewrite their system.
And I also don't think they'll "run out" of Zunes or 360s. It's Microsoft. They make them.

Did anyone make a simple automation script to work with tsearch? If I had that fox kid's source code I'd be set.
I wouldn't be surprised if people like this:

Get accounts that earn points too fast reset. If the only way to get ahead is cheating I think it will compromise the money they're making, as less people do it, with especially less attention. Also, I don't think they are beyond just canning the orders of anyone they thought cheated.

If I recall correctly, over at SA we determined that that is simply a display bug.Worm wrote:Did anyone make a simple automation script to work with tsearch? If I had that fox kid's source code I'd be set.
