I got one of their compilation (alright, dammit, "Greatest Hits" CDs) from the 7 I got from signing up with BMG. I know absolutely nothing about them, not even their country of origin. Just curious... couldn't find a "Squeeze FAQ" or whatnot. OK, well, I did, but not of Squeeze the ba-- ah, this is going nowhere. Abort. Abort!!

I have researched this issue, and since after reading their bio, all I really can say still is that they're British.

They're enigmas.
The CD is okay. I totally forgot about that shucking mussles from the shell (or whatever) song. So that's cool.
I also got "The Gray Race" from Bad Religion. It comes with one of those cardboard wrappers to it, like the Everclear one with "One Hit Wonder" and so forth did. I lose those very easily. Also, there is a picture of a frightened baby on the actual jewel case. PUNK!!

I the band you're thinking of is British and has been working since about 1974, I think this has a significant amount of data:
http://artistinfo.spinner.com/cg/x.dll? ... sql=1:5506
Spinner has a pretty decent database of vital stats and pithy album critiques, and I still prefer the choices made on the Alternative and Indie channels for Spinner 4.0 as opposed to the newer (and to my tastes, blander) Radio@Netscape Plus. I probably shouldn't have written that, as it is in violation of the party line of the Company.
But then, so is visiting this BBS at work.
PTX over and out.
