I actually get a ton of mail from an auction site I joined recently, but that's fine, the guy is trying to grow his business, whatever.
I get the feeling, though, that if Gamefly found out about it, my tires would be slashed and there would be lipstick all over my windshield.
I may reconsider Gamefly. Jesus.

I fucking hate that article and that site. The problem with gamefly is their esoteric availability system, but I guess you can't exaggerate that for comedic effect?
Don't get gamefly for your PS2 man, you can buy a disc, network adapter, and use a USB stick and a hardrive to play downloaded games on it.

Good point Bobby!

Yeah, I guess I was kidding, in that I am not actually considering a Gamefly subscription.
I wish you could get a subscription to arcade games. Two guys show up, cart off "Kung Fu Master" and drop Discs of Tron in there instead. When you're sick of it, you call them up and they come get it and give you the next one. That would be better.
But COME ON. Any website that says, "You haven't logged in in a while...!" is deserving of ridicule.

The closest thing I know of is Gametap with its "classic arcade" selection: http://retro-games.gametap.com/video-ga ... t=AZ&s=ESS
I think I've only once gotten a game successfully working with gametap so I don't know what kind of ports most of the games are (as they don't seem to be the arcade versions), but back in the day, the "arcade" games were part of the free package. I don't know if this is still the case.
I'd guess that the few games available are horribly flawed and they still haven't ironed out all of the bugs from the applet or whatever, but I always thought the arcade game inclusions were well-intentioned.
