And this... yes, this makes it ALL worth while. THE PARTY JUST GOT STARTED!!
How the hell you doin', man? I am frigging pumped that you found this place. I was hoping that you were the same Bugs from before and not some imposter to the throne, and the "bass" comment that you listed confirms it. Have you been playing in / starting any bands or recording any music as of late?
I think that most of what I have been up to has been detailed in various threads on this BBS, but the short of it is:
1) Moved to Colorado 4 years ago
2) Haven't broken any bones
Aardvark, Loafer Girl and Jack Straw (who I think started calling the dial-up BBS while you were local, but I'm not sure) are still around, and Da King posts every once in a long while. Glad to see you here!

You said exactly the same thing when I came around after my string of "I have a question" and "The knight orc page's links are broken" E-mails. Glad to see someone with seniority on me show up. I can't stand when I'm not a newbie for some reason.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:And this... yes, this makes it ALL worth while. THE PARTY JUST GOT STARTED!!

I also tend to say, "the internet just got sexier" when a female friend either hops on-line or send me her first e-mail. It was probably best for everyone involved if I gave you the party-starting one, m'man.
I am in such a good mood I can even stomach ten more pie-and-cow posts! YASE!

Well, the extreme short of it on my end:
1.) Attended SUNY Geneseo
2.) Moved to Boston
3.) Broke no bones
4.) The Xtreme Cost o'Living in Beantown, among other things, has me thinking about moving back to Rochester. Is anyone on this here BBS still in Rochester?
Colorado, eh, ICJ? How's that treating you? Frickin' gorgeous country out there. Whereabouts are you? Anywhere near Hunter S. Thompson?
I've been playing bass here and there. I've never quite found a project that made me completely comfortable, but I kick around a little bit.
A very spotty re-introduction, and I apologize, and I imagine people here who don't know me are all "What the F?"
More to come later, and rest assured I'll frequenting JC once again.
Whatever happened to that girl who always misspelled things and thought "the" was spelled "teh"? What was her name...?

Excellent move.2.) Moved to Boston
This is like a conversation between Wolverine and Bullseye! Excellent!3.) Broke no bones
I'll tell you what, from time to time I have been thinking of moving back as well. The thing is, I am quite fortunate to have a job in the pseudo-tech sector, and I am quite hesitant to abandon it. Also, as bad as things are in the rest of the country, it seems as if they are even worse back home. It wouldn't even be that I'd have to live in my old man's attic, no, he'd be renting that out if it gets worse. I'd have to move to the roof or something.4.) The people that left include The REAL Man (Aaron Gold) who lives in Los Angeles, Z'da (Connecticut), Perry (otherwise known as Satan, the board wrecker) who I believe is in Toronto currently and Farsase, who went to Parts Unknown.
Heh. He I haven't seen, but then I am in Fort Collins.Colorado, eh, ICJ? How's that treating you? Frickin' gorgeous country out there. Whereabouts are you? Anywhere near Hunter S. Thompson?
Well, that and "time to post as a piece of pie and/or a cow!"A very spotty re-introduction, and I apologize, and I imagine people here who don't know me are all "What the F?"
Ah, Amy Friday. I'm not quite sure what happened to her. For all I know she could be a lurker here or she could be deceased. The funny thing is, with just how awful the spelling is for most of the kids on the Internet, she'd be in the top five percent even with her constant "tehing." Well, not ha-ha funny, but still.Whatever happened to that girl who always misspelled things and thought "the" was spelled "teh"? What was her name...?

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I may be back in the Great White North sooner than later. I actually miss it quite a lot. I'll be visiting this weekend, in fact, to meet my niece who is all of 3 days old. :)AArdvark wrote:Why, yes. There are some of us left in cold, cold Rochester.
Boston's a funny place. I thought NY had some corrupt politics until I moved here. This entire state is run by shady looking people with even shadier accents and shifty eyes. Kinda like Bob DeNiro and Joe Pesci in "Casino," only not as well-dressed. But I digress...
Anyone ever catch those "You Know You're From Rochester When..." forwards? Truly funny stuff, especially all the bits about Wegmans and flagpoles strung with Xmas lights being a suitable substitute for municipal Xmas trees. :)
And the snow. Don't get me started. Bostonians don't know snow. The six inches we got the other night had all the freaks and twits reminiscing about the Blizzahd of '78! Pissah! My ass. 6 inches is but a dusting.
That's it for my rambling for now.
