So, there is this ad running around on Facebook that selects a member of the opposite sex from your Friends List, and tries to get you to buy tickets together to a movie or something.

Here is the one I got:

Just to clarify, this ad is asking me to take Jethro Q. Walrustitty's pregnant wife to a Nine Inch Nails concert and, oh by the way, she had just changed her profile picture to that of her latest ultrasound.

Actually I think it was suggesting you take their unborn child to the concert. You know our secret motto, "Once we go fetus, no one can beat us!"

You would probably get a good seat, too. I mean, if I saw a guy coming near me carrying a fetus, I would probably move aside.

Another FB dynamic ad incident:

Two friends of mine had both mentioned wine in various status updates.

One friend started getting special wine deal ads served to her.

The other (perhaps more prolific with wine mentions) started getting "substance abuse help" ads.

We started to speculate on the algorithm that figures out the tipping point of alcohol mentions from 'buy more!' to 'you need help!'

It seems that Jeff has challenged me to a Bejeweled deluxe game. I highly doubt that he has even played the game on facebook.
