There's an issue with custom "style" templates like the one this site uses. I can't, for instance, moderate any page beyond the first one until I get this fixed. Other people have noted on the phpbb.org forum that new users can't register. I think Bugs registered after I made the switch to 2.0.4, but I'll double check to be sure.
Anyway, if you guys see any "invalid_session" messages, please let me know. Thanks.
Robb

Possibly.
I avoided upgrading the last two releases because of shit like this. But there was a security problem that was found, and 2.0.4 was necessary to stop it.
This is exactly what I hate about software that works on the net, though. There is really no reason why code had to be written that would essentially cripple in "non 2.0.4 approved" templates. They knew that there was an enormous number of BBSs out there that were running custom templates. They have a responsibility not to cause their software to break when there's a mandated update (in my opinion). Yeah, it sucks that the community got away from them in that regard, but for Christ's sake -- if this shit was working previous to 2.0.4 then it's on them, not the template people.
I'm fucked more than others because this scheme is only based off one that somebody else did. There's a very good chance that this BBS will look completely different in the next week or so, and it's totally not by my choice.

it is a very good layout and i like it, and have not experienced any errors.
i don't know about whether or not you can only go to unread posts still: father took another shot at mother last weekend, missed and accidentally hit the computer. so now i log on from the library, which would be fine except that the public computers never remember which posts were read or unread... except for that creepy old guy outside who rubs himself every time i pass... oh, and the lizards, of course... *shudder*.
but the layout seems good and without error and i wouldn't want to see it changed unless actual problems crop up.
