Everything you have said here is correct. I would be so bold as to say that if you're shooting planes with your deck guns, it must mean you're unable to submerge. Isn't that sort of a last resort for a submarine? I believe the proper response to an airplane attack would be to get the fuck under the water as fast as possible. That maneuver, however, does not sell phone apps. It's funny how the biggest asset for a sub commander is patience. Something that is being evolved out of the human species.
