Go down to your precious dollar store and BUY THOSE INGREDIENTS. Immediately. I'm tired of this SHIT.
I have no interest in crepes.
Did I ask if you were interested in them? I want a goddamn video of you making goddamn crepes. You tracking with me here, buddy? MAKE SOME CREPES AND FILM IT.

I'm actually looking forward to the crepe video, inasmuch that I've never seen or eaten a crepe. I'm from the south. If it can't be deep-fried or served with white gravy (or both), I may not have had the pleasure.

I guarantee that any crepe video (if) will not be an accurate representation of the genre crepe.

Tdarcos - I will Paypal you $10 for the ingredients for the crepes video. I would Paypal you now, but I want confirmation that a crepe video is coming if I help pay for the ingredients/development.

What do I get out of it? I get to say I am a patron of the arts. Faggy shit, I know, but work with me here.

What do you get out of it? Ah! Ah ah... careful... if you were thinking "a video," that's one thing, but you also get a CREPE!

Fuck, I love crepes.

Let me know what you think. $10 to help fund the crepe video. I'm ready.

I feel ready!

$20 now, to make crepes. I would PAY people $20 if they'd leave me alone long enough to make some goddamn crepes, and here you are, making a profit off the deal.

Please. Please.

Seriously. If alien life forms needed twenty bucks to save their civilization and culture from the gammahogs, I wouldn't ... I would sooner do a:

Code: Select all

www.paypal.com 127.0.0.1
... to my HOSTS file than help them. But here we are. Twenty US dollars to videotape yourself making crepes.

Wow. Thirty dollars, Tdarcos. For buying some ingredients, making some crepes, filming it, narrating it, and killing an immigrant. Thirty dollars! It's like you won the Internet lotto!

Total cost of ingredients should be:

Six pack of eggs: 99 cent
Small bag of flour: What... $1.50?
Stick o' butter: Well, $3 because you have to buy the whole pack.
Tablespoon of sugar: Free, cuz you'll just steal it from a McDonald's.
Pint o' milk: What... $1.29?

$6.78 total. So you're already making a $23.22 profit on the deal. That can buy an AWFUL lot of Banquet Pork Patty Food Meals.

I just got the e-mail that next month our Zoo is having their annual Ostrich Omlette breakfast. I will be there and will film the omelettes IN HIGH DEFINITION.

If you guys are serious, I'll do it, and you can pay me after I've made the video so you don't have to trust me. As I said, I'm greedy. But if you stiff me, consider it the last time I'll ever do anything for you guys again.

Jonsey, how do you think all art got done prior to the development of copyright (late in the 18th century) and royalties to authors (not very effective until early in the 20th)? With the exception of very good playwrights like Will Shakespeare, who could get investors to go in on doing a play, all art was patron sponsored; there were no government grants, artists did work either on a per-job basis (one guy wants a painting, another wants a bust, and the First Church of You Are Going to Hell in a Handbasket if You're Not a Member will pay nicely for a stained glass window rendering of a scene from the medieval equivalent of Dante's Inferno), or if they were very lucky, on salary for a patron.

DaVinci didn't do his art work because he was inspired by the love of the craft, he was a full-time employee (or perhaps contractor was a better term) of one of the Medici, who hired him to figure out new and more efficient ways of killing his enemies; this gave him the time and resources to do his art.

And I'll bet you thought the military-industrial complex was just something Eisenhower warned about back in the 1950s.

I guess that becomes our new inside joke "In High Definition" to replace "I will eat shit off a plate in a Wal*Mart".

It just happened that after my previous video camera got broken as a result of my eviction, I eventually decided to buy another one, and Micro Center had a special sale, a camera that actually produced HD video for the really low price of $69.

My previous camera was nice, it had a battery pack as opposed to running on AAA batteries, had a remote control so you could start and stop the video from a device in your hand instead of having to reach over and turn the camera off, and even played MP3s. Cost me $150 about four years ago, and I thought it was nice. Plus Fingerhut offered to let me finance it for some exorbitant interest rate, but it was only costing me like $15 a month for 75 years.

TigerDirect has a Flip HD camera on sale right now for $39 after rebate. This on the heels of Cisco's announcement that they are dropping the Flip line of cameras and laying off 550 employees.

I think I paid $99 for my Flip last year. One nice thing about it is the bottom has a spot for a tripod. I bought a tripod with mine for another $15 I think. The Flip has a USB plug built in so after you are done recording you just plug it into your computer and copy the files over.

I am such a cheap son-of-a-bitch the only reason I have the frying pan is it was literally at a dollar store, I have no idea how, but I found it at a Dollar Tree. Family Dollar has cookware, but a frying pan would probably have been at least $3.99. Must have been some kind of special, I have no idea how the hell they can sell them for a buck.

I'm not going to stiff you. I don't know about these other mirror-universe-chislers? I trust Pinback and Flack. They are men of their word.

Plus, you'd have to be a real jerk to promise $10 for a crepe video and then not fork over the bucks. I will vouch for these men. (That doesn't mean that I will cover their ten bucks if they don't come correct, does it? I don't mean "vouch" if that's what "vouch" means.)

Yeah yea, I know, it's just - it's just - nnnghhh, I don't want any women logging on here and seeing this. I patronize Soviet spammers on here, not the arts.
