Tuttle Ice Cream Festival

Post by Flack »

I don't know why I'm posting this, as I don't have much to say about it. Yesterday the family and I attended the 21st annual Tuttle Ice Cream Festival. This is the first one we have ever attended. We must've missed the first 20.

Tuttle is home to Braum's, arguably the best ice cream chain in America. It's better than Baskin Robbins, it's better than Ben and Jerry's, it's ... the best. If you drive out to the farm (about 20 miles from here) you can see the cows where they get the milk from. They get the meat for their burgers from the cows too but, let's not think about that right now. But they bottle the milk there and then ship it across town and you can buy it like, that day. And they make the ice cream with that milk and it's so awesome. I will be taking ICJ and 'Vark there next month so you can ask them if it's not the best ice cream they ever had.

So here is my review of the 21st annual Tuttle Ice Cream festival. What's the one thing you would expect to have there? Exactly, ice cream. Ice Cream cones were being served up by Braum's. The line was 2 hours long, and ice cream cones were $1.50. So we split, went over to Braum's, and bought ice cream cones for $1.35.

While at the festival we had lunch. I had an onion burger (Vark and ICJ will be getting one of those, too.) Dad had a hot dog. Susan had an Indian Taco. None of us had any ice cream. There was a car show, where ... I don't know if you go to car shows, but we saw all the same cars that we see at all the other local car shows.

The weather was nice and we enjoyed walking around but ... eh, next year we will just go to Braum's and get some ice cream and save ourselves the trip.

Done and done!

Braum's ice cream is made using Braum's milk which comes from Braum's Dairy ... which is about 20 minutes away from the Braum's I will take you to.

If you wiat long enough, a bowl of Braum's ice cream (once melted) turns back into milk. It's hard to explain but it's pret-ty damn good.

I meant to go, but accidentally wound up at the Buttle ice cream festival.

Believe me, that is not a mistake you want to make.

With extra nuts?

I was going with the slang definition for "butt cheek sweat".

If it is also a term found within StarCraft or used among fake disk jockeys, it's lost on me.
