Currently at Micro Center

Post by Tdarcos »

I'm posting this via the free internet access at the Rockville, Maryland Micro Center. I came here to bring back an item and to pick up a couple more.

I would have done it earlier this week except I've been down with a cold for three days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I did very little except sleep, and I had terrible headaches. Friday I felt better and today I have only some tightness in my chest instead of racking coughs. So I decided to take the trip out here.

Also, they have other stores out here. There is a true dollar store next door. They have driveway lamps for $1. I've been paying $4 each for them. They're solar powered lamps and they add a touch of elegance. The landlord likes them so much he asked me to pick up a dozen for him.

There's also a Trader Joe's here. I'm routinely paying 29c each for bananas at Target; TJ's has then for 15c. I figure I'm lucky when I can get 80/20 hamburger at Target or Giant for $3 a pound. Trader Joe's 80/20 hamburger is $2.69 a pound. I'd always thought of them as an expensive boutique store like the high-quality and organic-targeting Fresh Fields. I was surprised to discover how good their prices are.

Micro Center has always been such a nice place to shop, it has so many wonderful things. I used to use their Vienna, Virginia store until they opened the one in Rockville in what used to be a Comp USA. Much easier to get to and an amazing selection; I've sometimes found amazing things.

Yum! You're lucky to have even more of me for less money! MMM, nothing like a centrifuge to separate the fat and nitrogen to kill the bacteria.
