Why the Fuck couldn't he have said that in the first place?

Post by Tdarcos' Legal Department »

I decided to come back over to Caltrops for a bit, and I discover a posting from Jonsey which said that he was tired of my prolix postings here and wanted me to restrict myself to being on topic and 8 lines max and if I could stay to that, I could get my account here back. Do you think he could have told me, say in an e-mail, or gotten Ben to stooge for him and tell me? No. I'm left guessing what was wrong, like Ahnold in Total Recall where his associate is going to kill him and he doesn't know why. Yeah, I can go along. I counted carefully, this message is 7 lines.

I said it in multiple places! And you never check your email. Or at least you never get them from me.

I had no idea you didn't know what the problem was.

So yes, the deal always was, you stick to 8 lines and stay on topic and everyone is happy and I'll re-enable your account. Do we have a deal?

Bullshit. I check my e-mail 5 times a day, I get anywhere from 20 to 60 pieces of mail a day, and if you're talking about the PM system on here, it never tells me anything and never sent me e-mail to tell me I had a private message.
Hundreds of people get mail to me every week, I don't see why you're having a problem. paul@paul-robinson.us, same e-mail I've been using for, oh, probably 8 years. Or, try postmaster@paul.washington.dc.us, I still have that. (Just squeaked in at 8 lines!)

Didn't you bother to consider that someone who's been here for more than three years, deserved a little courtesy to say that you had a problem? Do you think I would act as an irritating prig and a revolting son of a bitch to piss people off? I'm not Pinback, or at least you should have realized that.

Yes. (Again, just squeaked by at 8 lines! I'm not counting BBS-forced formatting.)

Hey! When I looked at it in preview the message fit in 8 lines! When I told it to submit, it forced it over one more line. That's not fair!

I will unban your Tdarcos account when I return to Colorado later this week. You are sticking to the 8 line limit. It is appreciated. I don't care how long your messages are in the Hugo technical base, obviously.

As long as they are about Hugo, you mean.

I farted on this thread

I farted out 8 lines of shartastic soup in my shorts while reading this thread. Does that count for something? I need more Tuna Noodle Fettuccine for bikini!

Great, I have this really long story about Victor Hugo and about Hugo Gernsback, for which the famed Hugo award for Science fiction is named, and I have a lot of material about that.

I have one in the can that I haven't edited yet. For the life of me, I can't remember what I made.

"Day by day / Day by day / Oh, dear Lord, three things I pray / To never have to see Thee more clearly / Hate Thee more dearly / Run away from Thee more nearly / Day by day."
"Baby, I was afraid before
I'm not afraid, any more."

What the fuck did you think would happen in the noun/adjective thread? What did you think about happen, TDARCOS?

Just started making an effort to read more threads outside of my ACK playpen. I had no idea there were so many ridiculous and pointless fits of verbal ninjitsu. Its always fun to watch a bunch of bloodninjas zinging Asperger-shurikens at each other in a cyber-thunderdome. I'm going to have to extend my adventures to the outlying lands of Jolt Country more often! Lol
