Canned Fish
Canned fish is my favorite! I could eat it for every meal! I don't give a fuck! Tuna? Sure, of course, but what else ya got? Chum salmon? Sardines with the bones still in? Kippered herring? I'll even just sit there eating anchovies right out the can!
I don't give a fuck!
I love canned fish!!

Today's canned fish is Beach Cliff sardines in water!
Topped with a few healthy shakes of Louisiana Gold hot sauce? Mmm-MM! That's delicious canned fish!

Best canned fish I know of. Always stocked in my kitchen.

CANNED FISH REVIEW
Brunswick Sardines in Water: These are larger sardines, with the skin, bones, and various innards intact. Not for everyone, but I love all the icky stuff! Plus, being packed in water, and without salt added, what could be healthier? I give these four fish guts!
Beach Cliff Fish Steaks in Mustard Sauce: My first foray into cans with "sauce" in them, I found the herring steaks delightfully textured, but the mustard sauce a little, I dunno, sickly. Certainly a fine, healthy snack in a pinch, but not my favorite. I give these two and a half fish guts!
Wild Planet Pole-Caught Albacore Tuna: Forget Bumble Bee chunk light, this was basically a solid, intact steak of wild-caught albacore tuna! Hard to imagine a better canned tuna than this. I give it five disgusting, stanky fish guts!
King Oscar Two-Layer Brisling Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Often considered the "Rolls Royce" of widely-available sardines, these are tiny little gems, nearly fully intact except for the head, in a light, clean olive oil, which when drained, imparts only flavor, and not the greasy oiliness I was expecting/fearing. Absolutely wonderful! I give these five putrid, rotting, rancid, ungodly foul fish guts!!!

CANNED FISH REVIEW
Brunswick Sardines in Soy Oil and Hot Pepper: Smell is mildly fishy, with what look to be chopped, pickled jalapenos or something scattered around. Still the large, innard-filled Brunswicks, but with a really nice heat in the aftertaste. Very clean tasting. For a spicy food fan I might recommend these first! (I still put a little Tabasco on 'em, cuz, well, I'm me.) Four and a half rank-ass nasty ol' fish guts!

CANNED FISH REVIEW
King Oscar Brisling in Water / No Salt: Pretty much the same fishies as the previously reviewed ones in olive oil, but without the oil and seasoning, they left me a little "flat"! I think for the no-salt, water-packed ones, the larger Brunswick sardines work better, as they seem "meatier" and pack a bigger flavor punch.
Still, not a bad canned fish at all. Three slimy, rotting fish guts!

CANNED FISH REVIEW
Beach Cliff Fish Steaks in Louisiana Hot Sauce: After my previous Beach Cliff experience, I went into this with a bit of trepidation, particularly since I prefer to pick out my own hot sauces, please. However, this sauce is much nicer than the Mustard, with a mild heat that doesn't overpower the delicious herring steaks. I think I'd still rather use Tabasco or a sauce of my own choosing, rather than a mysterious "Louisiana Hot Sauce", but in a pinch, this will do nicely! Three and a half fish guts!
