Premium Beta 2 arrives on 6/24

Post by pinback »

It features three new star systems (only 399,999,999,992 to go!), one new space station type, and a bunch of bug fixes.

This is the same day that THIS arrives from Amazon.

THIS IS SO EXCITING!

I'M SO EXCITED!!
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

Dude, what's the point of this peripheral other than giving you a neck cramp because you're trying to avoid moving the in-game view? Or making your eyes look at the screen from weird angles?

This is your question? "Why is moving your head a half inch easier than clicking "headlook toggle" and then moving your analog joystick hat in the direction you want, and then clicking "headlook toggle" again when you want to revert to the default forward-facing view?"

That's your question?

Listen, go ahead and read all of the thousands of comments from flight simmers about how this is a literal game-changer before adding your helpful little comments.

You better know your TrackIR, mister, because you sure don't. I don't know about you, but you sound like some stupid idiotic jerk.

But I have a question. What is that thing you gave a reference to on Amazon? I don't understand what it is, and why exactly is it worth about $155?

Is it a new type of monitor, a device you wear (on your head, maybe) or is it something like the Kinect for the PC?

And the last one makes me wonder, if that's what it is, an overpriced web cam at Radio Shack is $20, what makes this device worth so much more?

On the other hand, if it's not like Xbos's Kinect, then what the hell is it?

You know, this is exactly the kind of attitude that makes people not like you, Mr. Parrish. You could have taken the high road, showed reasons why this was important and useful, and maybe made someone understand your point of view.

But no, you had to go for the cheap and absolutely unnecessary insult. When someone asks a question, you have the opportunity to educate them, perhaps impress them with your knowledge, and maybe win them over. And all you're doing is squandering the opportunity.

This is why I say to the incompetent C-R's over at Caltrops, if you're of the opinion that I have a mental illness or disease or condition like Asperger's Syndrome or autism, then you should be able to do more than just throw insults where you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about, because if you did know, you could explain why and what your reasoning is for your opinion. The fact that none of them, not a man-jack, can ever give even one reason for their opinion shows they have no reasons. They're just parroting everyone else, and none of them has bothered to think.

So consider that, Ben. You don't like it when I bluntly point out your failings and excuses, but I'm not insulting. Here, you had the opportunity to teach someone something and you blew it.

First of all I was quoting the Bridgetender, which I didn't think you'd get because 1) you've actually talked to the man, and 2) you never understand anything.

Second of all you greasy wad of useless, he started the conversation by saying "I thought you were smart". When you start a conversation with an insult, where do you think it's going to go?

Fuckface.

Excuse me, exactly when in this conversation did I insult you? Exactly how did I say something insulting about you? I don't deserve this kind of treatment and I think you should apologize.
he started the conversation by saying "I thought you were smart". When you start a conversation with an insult,
That's not an insult. It's a comment in where he feels that your interest in this product is unwarranted or that perhaps you're allowing an emotional response to your interest in the device override your rational thought processes. He did not call you an idiot, a moron or stupid, nor did he impugn your intelligence.
where do you think it's going to go?
Only as far down into the gutter as you choose to take it.
Fuckface.
Saying that means that you seem to think I'm gay. You also said, in an other article where you were referring to a man, "SCREW THE JEW."

Consiidering these comments, I just have one question, does your wife know about your latent homosexual tendencies?

(Now, see, that's an insult.)

You also failed to explain what that piece of <s>excrement</s> err, I mean <s>garbage</s> or rather junk you're willing to spend over $150 on. It looks like a miniature of the spider assault vehicle in the execrable movie remake of The Wild, Wild West.

No it's not. I'll bet you can't even identify what Asperger's Syndrome is or its characteristics. Do you even know anything about the condition or do you just parrot what other uninformed and incompetent people who also don't know what they are talking about are saying?

IMPORTANT THINGS PREMIUM BETA 2 DID NOT FIX:

1. Still takes forever to come out of supercruise.
2. The fucking space stations keep disappearing.

I might just let ol' E:D sit there a while and let it think about what it's done. When it's ready to behave itself it can come out of its room.

BTW, I sold Jonsey my gameboard and bought this as a replacement:

http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/tflight-hotas-x

It is BOUSE. The picture doesn't show it, but the two pieces COME APART, so you can comfortable have your left hand on the throttle and the right hand on the stick without having to contort your arms like a dinosaur. Aw man, is this sweet.

I'm going to sell it to Jonsey next week.

Excellent! Between that and the gameboard I just sold you, you should be GOOD TO GO.

Righty ho! I will buy a spaceport!

I like that there was zero resolution to their shitty grammar, by the way. The game is going to come off like it was programmed by Howard Sherman.
