New ACK file repository
I am setting up a small file share for ACK games, works-in-progress, etc. To upload files to the repository, use the following link:
https://www.drivehq.com/DropBox/DropBox ... D=71795046
All you need to enter for the info fields is your name (use your joltcountry username) and a description of what you are submitting. The password for the uploader page is three characters - capital A, capital C, capital K.
If anyone has any games in development that you would like to get feedback on or have people try out, please submit a ZIP of your game to the above link and post in this thread to let me know. This way, we can have a single download area for ACK games and other content with everything accessible in one place.

I have a complete directory of adventure files of everything I could find that I have previously made available at
http://in-the-matter-of.com/adventure
I found three files, ACK-MANUAL.PDF (603K) , ACKv3.2.zip (21 meg), and acksrc.zip (160k) which I <s>will upload</s> have uploaded to your repository. Hope it helps. If I didn't do the upload right you can go to that directory and the links allow you to download any of the files there.

Thanks. I'm trying to find out from Chris if he minds having the ACK distribution files mirrored other places, but I haven't gotten a reply from him yet.Tdarcos wrote: I found three files, ACK-MANUAL.PDF (603K) , ACKv3.2.zip (21 meg), and acksrc.zip (160k) which I <s>will upload</s> have uploaded to your repository. Not sure if I missed something, but that link asks for a password?rld wrote:I am setting up a small file share for ACK games, works-in-progress, etc. To upload files to the repository, use the following link:

And btw, to Chris - thanks for ACK. I've been picking away at it on and off for close to a year now, it's a great tool and scratches an itch ACS was responsible for in my youth.
You asking for the password? Or you saying it didn't ask you for the password? If you need the pw it's in the quote in your last post there.
EDIT: Just uploaded the Metal Gear Demo. What I have so far done with the Wasteland adventure is also on it's way. Just have to compare my various backups to make sure i'm uploading the latest one.
EDIT: K Wasteland uploaded too now. Enjoy.

rld: No objections here, and as I figure out what the new active URLs are I'll make links to them from the 80sgaming.org site.
Totally understand that Chris. Good to hear from ya again. The more you are around the more I am motivated to finish my projects. ;) No pressure though.. :P

I uploaded my "TEST-RPG" kit which has several years of tinkering in it. Included is my "Pen & Paper tileset" that I've mentioned recently in another post. There's also the beginnings of a potential Final Fantasy-style battle engine in there; I think you need to bump into the "Test Battle" obstacle to trigger it, if memory serves me. I have no idea what else may be in there.
Unfortunately, I missed the "please submit a ZIP" part and uploaded all the files individually. Sorry.
Have fun.

Hey jupider, I just tried out your test rpg. I guess most of the extra stuff you mentioned isn't actually implemented in a game yet, just laying dormant in the editors since I didn't see anything but a small boat to get to the pair of hiking boots which allow you to hike through woods, and then the hot air balloon to fly over the mountains.jupider wrote:I uploaded my "TEST-RPG" kit which has several years of tinkering in it. I'm sure you're already aware of this and it is just a test game after all so not really a big deal but the balloon gets blocked by the water tiles along the shoreline around most of the island. Only the eastern side of the island with the mountains allows access to the island if your flying around the ocean.
I really like the test creatures in the editor. I'm going to adapt your test-rpg for my own use for testing things. Thanks for the submission.
