Don't get me wrong, I have no free time, but I have this dream of playing an RPG throughout the next year and eventually finishing it. I thought Ultima V was the way to go.
I thought I'd use the Amiga for it. However, I am seeing graphical corruption when playing.
I have a flash disk in an Atari cartridge for #4. I guess I could play through Ultima 4 on the Amiga, but then why keep the flash cart for the Atari? I dunno.
1 & 2 are too primitive, and I beat 3 when I was a kid. I got really far in 6 as well.
I did find something that said that someone else had trouble with Ultima 5 in the same way I did and they turned off CPU caching or something. Why does nothing ever work?

I got it working. I'll try to write out the steps to help future generations.
The problem was like that one quoted page said, you have to extract it on the Amiga itself. I ended up having to find and install programs that handled .lha and .zip files. AmigaOS is... interesting. I couldn't get to the point where I could do some stuff like move directories and move programs to where they are PATHed. But I did get it going after a couple hours.
I just realized that my master plan was to leave Ultima V running there 24/7, but I think after a few seconds of no activity, it makes you eat food.
