I'm still enjoying my JXD Android tablet with a real joystick and D-Pad.

Plays Spectrum games (and dozens of other systems) perfectly with an emulator. :)

I asked some dickheads what would be a nice handheld for emulating games and some guy, I wanted to kill him, said ANDROID PHONE. What a fucking fuck. Yeah, no keypad or buttons, that's what I wanted.

What you have linked to seems to be a very good choice.

How big is it? The handheld console, I mean.

It's huge.

(The handheld console, I mean.)

I will take some pictures of it tomorrow when I am upstairs but yeah, it's pretty big.

Well I spent a ton of time playing on this thing today. To be honest I haven't used it as much as you would think because it's Android and I don't know how to do anything so I am constantly having to stop and Google things like "how do I close an app" and stuff which I am too old to be doing.

It looks like at some point I stole one of the SD cards out of the thing for one of my Raspberry Pi's so I put another one in today and copied over a large selection of NES, SNES, Genesis, Atari 2600, and MAME ROMs. Everything plays flawlessly. I just saw there are PSP and PSX emulators for the thing so I'm going to try those next.

I download the ISO of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the original PlayStation last night and tried it out. It literally plays perfect -- no skips in the music or the video.

I watched some video clips from people playing Dreamcast games and it looked pretty iffy. I'm guessing some games play okay and others that do a lot of video or music streaming probably don't.

This weekend I will add some of the computer emulators (C64, Apple II, Amiga, and Speccy). Most of them have a virtual keyboard you can bring up for key presses, but I'll have to see if they are still fun to use considering that limitation.
