Site Announcement
Hello, everyone.
I have been on vacation for the last week and I was delighted to find a dozen topics with posts in them. Thank you! What a surprise. You guys have been great about keeping the site updated with content.
I've spent a lot of time thinking about how I choose to spend my time away from work. The conclusion that I have come to is that I spend way too much time on unproductive pursuits. This site, Jolt Country, is not an unproductive pursuit. It should be an outlet for my writing on various topics, along with a fun BBS.
To that end, I will be attempting a kind of site overhaul shortly. I'd like to see if we can upgrade this BBS to the latest version of phpBB. I'd like to give Aardvark and a few other, responsible users the right to edit their posts. And I'd like to get myself into a schedule where at least once a month (for starters) there is a new, entertaining blog post on the main site.
Thanks for everyone who contributed this week, you are all the best.
YOUR FRIEND,
ICJ

I just thought it was perfectly Ironic - and by the way, Alanis Morissette does NOT know what "ironic" means - for you, an avowed atheist like myself, to thank Christ.pinback wrote:Welcome back, Paul.
Praise Wotan it was so funny, I couldn't resist.

Would it be okay to put a cap on when the site will be upgraded? Then if (when) that isn't met, we just start fresh with something better such as TapaTalk or moving the BBS to the comments section of a Yahoo! News Article?
