Question for Jiz:
Are North Carolinian's "proud" of Texas Pete? Or is it just on every single table because, hey, I mean, it's easy to get there?

I would say yes, people around here are generally "proud" of the sauce and that it comes from here. They sponsor festivals, and I remember an article about how troops in Iraq from here were basically begging for free shipments of the sauce from the company. When they stopped making the Texas Pete hotdog "chili sauce" people FREAKED out and demanded answers from local newspapers.pinback wrote:Question for Jiz:

Bojangles used to have a "Bojangles cajun sauce". Now they just give out packs of Texas Pete.

Very true! I recently discovered they also have really good hand-made burgers there too. For what places like Wendy's charge, might as well there and get the real thing.Flack wrote:Bojangles is good, but it's no Prissy Polly's...
Also, I put a packet of Texas Pete on every lexington-style bbq sandwich from Prissy Polly's. TEXAS PETE FOR LIFE, FINBACK.
