Jason Scott had a heart attack....

Post by RetroRomper »

Apparently for about a week that occured due to high cholesterol.

He's okay, thankfully.

He had a heart attack for about a week?

He.noted numbness in both his arms for that long that he simple contributed to age, but nope, he required a stint.

Huh, good to know. I've had extreme chest pains, full-body numbness and shortness of breath for the last 20 seconds, but just sort of chalked it up to age.

Yes, yes and yes. You can address being an extreme pain, your numbnuts, and the halitosis later.

Man, where is all this hostility coming from? Perhaps we can begin anew!

This is the sort of thing that is now starting to scare the living bejeesus out of me: my weight, lack of exercise, and stress on my heart NOW will lead to eventual failure and problems down the road.

Its pretty sobering to think that what we are doing, eating, taking part in now will determine how many years we'll have on this earthly plain, much less the quality of the years we'll have on it.

Yes. I thought that I would be a lesson to all of you except for Gerrit and Loafergirl, but no. (FlyingCarp, if you're physically fit then I apologize but the odds of you finding this place and being so, well, let's just say the forum history is against you.)

You've all had me to use as an example of what to avoid, but do I see any of you making changes that will prolong your lives? No! I see the exact opposite. I went into the hospital, the uh goddamn hospital for multiple procedures over three days and you all looked on with unamused detachment, posting photos of hot sauce, hot chicken and large pepperoni pies.

I'm the signal God sent all of you to improve your physical condition. You were waiting for a sign (that wasn't a heart attack)? THIS IS THAT SIGN.

THIS IS THAT SIGN.

Also, we went out for supper tonight. I had sushi (which I am allowed to eat) but I had some calamari (which I am not allowed to eat). It was the first fried food I've had in 3 weeks and now my stomach feels like it's taking part in a 7th "Saw" movie. So I won't have to worry about discipline, I simply need to eat well so I don't want to die. It's the rest of you I feel bad for.

I feel bad that your bile will forevermore be figurative and not literal. You eat that calamari mindfully. MINDFULLY. (and then poop hot death.)

Might be done with the ole fried foods there for a year or two, my friend. Just gonna see what else is out there.

In fact, I doubt I would have even tried it except the sheer number of times ya gotta go to the grocery store to get fresh fruit and vegetables is more than I am used to. I now look at a ripe, plump strawberry like how I used to look at a ripe, plump fried anything.

'Poop hot death' is going to become a classic verbal insult in my vocabulary.
