Pizzeria Due downtown across from Uno's is a great place for deep dish. I miss real Chicago hotdogs too. Pano's Big Boy in Calumet City had a good one.

Also, if you try to check out the Museum of Science & Industry (very cool museum) try to not go on the weekend.
