Discord Roast

One of Pinner's friends wrote the following out for a crock pot roast and I'm pasting it here so I can remember and make this.

In cooking news, I’ve got my crock pot roast prep down to a mere 3 minutes...suitable for any work day! Add roast (I prefer chuck roast), sprinkle in a packet of onion soup mix, add 1 pound bag of baby carrots, add 1.5 pound bag of those tiny potatoes that come prewashed (the really small ones so you don’t have to cut them), add 1 can veggie broth, set on low for 8 hours, get 4 dinners with minimal effort

I made it today, virtually to the letter. It's hard to imagine a better taste-to-effort ratio. Not overly seasoned, so I could image adding a few more ingredients, but it's remarkably close to just being perfect as it is.

That does look pretty good. Fingerling potatoes would probably work as well but I prefer little red potatoes like that.

It was a multicolor mixture of red, purple and gold potatoes! But after 8 hours in the crock, they all end up looking relatively similar.
