I had never even heard of Toni Morrison and yet she did a truckload of things. This is from Wikipedia:
* [Toni] Morrison won the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award in 1988 for Beloved (1987). The novel was adapted into a film of the same name (starring Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover) in 1998.
* Morrison was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993.
* In 1996, the National Endowment for the Humanities selected her for the Jefferson Lecture, the U.S. federal government's highest honor for achievement in the humanities.
* She was honored with the 1996 National Book Foundation's Medal of Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.
* Morrison wrote the libretto for a new opera, Margaret Garner, first performed in 2005.
* On May 29, 2012, President Barack Obama presented Morrison with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
* In 2016, she received the PEN/Saul Bellow Award for Achievement in American Fiction.
Jesus, even one of these achievements would probably be the crowning achievement of a lifetime, and she received all of them. This is like a "Triple Crown" winner: Nobel, Pulitzer, Medal of Freedom. And she did all this after she was 60 years old.

Man, when it's just someone's natural time to go, you hate to see it happen. I am sure they did everything to save his life.

Or cause his death. What the hell were they doing, not having a guy accused of pederasty and pimping children in PC and on suicide watch? First, you have someone accused of child molestation in protective custody so some other prisoner doesn't give them "The Jeffrey Dahmer Treatment" and shiv them. Also, since he was probably looking at charges that could mean a life sentence, he should have been on suicide watch.
Of course, this presumes his death wasn't staged to
look like a suicide. Occasionally happens, especially when the accused crime is really heinous.

Jeffrey Dahmer was not killed by a shiv.

I know that. As I wrote in my book:
“And wasn’t Dahmer beaten to death?”
“Doesn’t matter. Dahmer was murdered in prison by another inmate, the method is irrelevant. That’s what I mean when I say ‘the Jeffrey Dahmer treatment:’ to be violently murdered in prison by some other inmate who didn’t like your crime."

It's hard to imagine a world where someone would want to bash someone else's brain in.

Oh it's not to hard to think of a lot of people who deserve having their brains bashed in, unfortunately they're all dead: Stalin, Mao, Dahmer, Manson, Hitler, Pol Pot, (Indonesia’s President) Suharto, Ismail Enver,
Ahmed Jemal, and Mehmet Talaat (ran Turkey over Armenia to the tune of 1.5 million Armenians back in 1916), etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Please, please tell me you has that quote memorized.
Enough so I can find it with a Google search.
My favorite is from
The Tempest and this is what I memorized:
Our revels now are ended
These our actors, as I foretold you
Are all melted into air, into thin air
And like the faded vision
The cloud-capp'd towers
The gorgeous palaces
The great globe itself
Yea, all which it inherits
Shall dissolve
And like this insubstantial pageant faded
Leave not a rack behind
Sir I am vex'd
My brain is troubled
A moment I will repose
A turn or two I'll walk
To still my beating mind
Now let's look up Shakespeare, (translated from the original Klingon:)
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep. Sir, I am vex'd;
Bear with my weakness; my, brain is troubled:
Be not disturb'd with my infirmity:
If you be pleased, retire into my cell
And there repose: a turn or two I'll walk,
To still my beating mind.
Well, I tried, anyway.

Fairfax board candidate dies of heart attack
(Washington Post) Express, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, p.5
VIRGINIA
A Republican candidate for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors died Sunday after experiencing a heart attack at the end of a day of campaigning, his family and friends said.
Paul Bolon, 69, complained of chest pains while walking through the County's Providence district to introduce himself to voters, said Andrea Bayer, a school board candidate who was with Bolon on Sunday.
He was taken to Innova Fairfax Hospital and died a few hours later, his family said.
"We'd been knocking on doors all day," Bayer said Tuesday,. "But we weren't taking any hills, and it was cool outside. We were laughing."
Bolon, a retired manager at the Federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration, was competing in the November election against Democrat Dalia Palchik for the county board seat being vacated by Linda Smyth, D.
Bolon said he planned to advocate for more schools in northeast Fairfax and hoped to eliminate wasteful spending.
Palchik called Bolon a fair-minded opponent.
"We were both looking forward to honestly debating important issues at a time of such bickering and division," she said in a statement.
Tom Hannigan, the chair of Fairfax County's Republican Committee, said the party will need a replacement candidate.

You'll have to settle for this:
The only reason I included Bolon's obituary was that I thought his death was hilarious, as macabre as that sounds. I don't even live in his district and did not know him.
