. In any circuit, there is a certain distance which an electrical charge can jump an air gap if either the amount of current is large enough or the gap is small enough. In high-voltage transmission lines, if the wires aren't a certain minimum distance apart from one another, the electricity will jump the gap and create a short-circuit. The smaller the gap, the less electricity needed for this to happen.
Why did you write this?

I assumed that was wrong as well.
This was a great example of how misinformation can get halfway across the globe while the truth is still putting its pants on. I know Paul doesn't do this intentionally, but the absolute certainty that he writes things that are totally, completely and obviously incorrect get to be a bit overwhelming at times. But I don't want him to change, either. It's just who he is and I accept him for that. I saw his mangled attempt at mansplaining Moore's Law when I was checking websites on my phone before fully getting out of bed.
But again, we love him for it. You have to give the Commander credit, he encourages
conversation.
I worked for Cyrix for a few years starting in 1998. The guys there had this weird relationship with the Intel founders (Gordon Moore, the dead guy up above, was one of the main Intel dudes). Cyrix wanted to be the rebels, the usurpers. They had a poster going around where three Cyrix people were dressed like the three white Ghostbusters from the Ghostbusters movie poster, all blasting away at an Intel Inside logo or something, I forget what. But at the same time they kept chasing Intel in a way that was weird and creepy to me, a junior, low-level know nothing at the time. I dunno.

It's not wrong...it just has nothing to do with the death of an Intel guy.
It would be similar to someome posting a picture of... say dead Robert Blake with a parrot on his head, and then write a paragraph about hair follicles or the lifespan of a Norwegian Blue parrot.

Xavier López Rodríguez, better known as “Chabelo,” died on Saturday, his family announced on his official Twitter account. He was 88. “Chabelo,” considered the “friend of all children,” had a long career on Mexican television for more than seven decades. He starred in some 30 films and worked on countless TV shows. For almost 48 uninterrupted years, Xavier López continued to draw in audiences for his weekly Sunday morning show “En Familia con Chabelo.”
His character, “Chabelo,” became one of the most beloved actors and a reference for many generations in Mexico and Latin America.
After the announcement of the death, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador wrote a tribute to the actor on Twitter.

I don't see where there is an issue over who posts what as long as it is related to the title of this thread. In general, it includes that which is famous to the public, or known personally to the members of this board. Specifically, it applies to any person - or special object - which ceases within a reasonable period near the announcement. "Special objects" include famous brands, pets belonging to a board member, famous bank failures, famous ompany dissolutions, and radio (or TV) shows any of us have been part of.

Previous picture is of
Dancing With the Stars judge Len Goodman who died Saturday [April 22] at age 78 from bone cancer. One year ago, he predicted when he would die and was one day short of his forecast. He figured he'd die the way his dad did, when he was 79. I don't see how they got 'one day' when he would have turned 79 on Tuesday. It's still a damn good guess.
