CBS posted a Tweet regarding the outstanding work of ballplayer Derek Jeter, and also mentioning Michael Jeter. But Michael Jeter hasn't done anything notable for 11 years.

Michael Jeter is an actor who appeared in the film Jurassic Park III, and also in The Green Mile (He played Eduard Delacroix, the one whose execution goes horribly wrong when Percy deliberately puts a dry sponge on his head instead of a wet one). He's also dead, and has been since 2003.

CBS apologized and deleted the Tweet, but the damage had already been done.

I tried to include a link, but there's a bug in this BBS software, whenever I post it, the board blanks and zeroes out my message.

The news said Skye probably died of a seizure, since she's had them for a long time.

The news also said she appeared on 24, so maybe the seizures were the result of not telling everything she knew and receiving the Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique.

The guy's eye pointing the wrong way doesn't look like him?

When you look at your old school photos are you just like, "WHO IS THIS UNKNOWN MAN?"

Actually, I think we should all post our high school graduation photos.

Actually that kind of makes 3 of us. Actually, I took the California High School Proficiency Exam at 16, and if you pass it the State issues you an equivalency diploma, which means you don't have to continue in High School.

I passed, and went on to Junior College at 16.

So I can proudly say, "I is an high school graduate."

That's more-or-less what I said when I made my comments earlier. (Oh wait, I think it was in e-mail; some of you might not have seen it.) Since he wanted to do a Johnny Carson, why didn't he get someone to sub for him? I could have done a whole show even if no one called in. I have enough opinions that I could easily have done an hour.

No, not the same, A GED is what you get when you drop out of school and later go back to get your diploma.

The Equivalency exam is when you take it while still in school, which proves you already have the knowledge and education equivalent to having taken the classes in high school, which then gives you, if you pass, the option not to continue in high school. I did it in order to be eligible to go on to college at 16; you can't go to a junior college or any other institute of higher learning unless you're at least 18 or have a high-school diploma.

The difference being a GED is taken after you've dropped out, realized how stupid you were and how hard it is to manage without a high-school diploma. The Equivalency exam is when you're smart enough to know that continuing in high school is pointless because you already know everything they can teach you and thus it gives you the option to do other things, since you now have a diploma.

I consider the Equivalency exam to be an example of thinking in advance; the GED is when you have to go back and fix a prior screwup, usually from not thinking.

It might only be a dime's bit of difference, but I believe there is a difference.

I know I should save these questions for the DR show, but was the exam something your parents pushed you into taking? I mean, that's two years of high school, the best two years of your life (more or less). Leaving all your friends behind, gotta be a tough decision.

TDarcos, I stand corrected. I believe your high school-level degree is in fact more prestigious than mine. However, I completely disagree with this:

Dropping out of high school was one of best decisions I ever made. I really think it kept me out getting in serious trouble one day developed such a hatred for the whole thing. It also never kept me from getting decent jobs. I found employers were always more interested in experience rather than education. Though of course, that doesn't speak for everyone.

Dude, so much LESS haha. High school totally sucked around here. Most of my friends were juniors or seniors as a freshman, so they didn't stick around long.
