How will you make Jolt Country BBS better in 2017?

Post by pinback »

I will try to engage in more conversations that don't have to do with food or making fun of Paul. Like the editable house thread!

Also, I plan to participate in the Hugo base a lot more! HINT HINT!!?!?!
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

I'm going to be nicer to Paul. He's been putting in a lot of hard work improving himself, and it's about time that somebody here starts recognizing that instead of always trying to beat the poor man down all of the time.

I'm going to (possibly, likely, maybe) post more!

Though would that be considered making this place worse?

Well, you know what they say about New Year's resolutions and how they're meant to be broken...

I now know which word Jonsey has flagged, "teetotaler." I shall substitute "non-drinker."

I did keep the comment size down. It was a ridiculously stupid piece how a guy in his thirties who has, the piece implies, been a lifetime non-drinker, would suddenly become an alcoholic from one session of drinking cocktails was, clearly ridiculous.

First, being similar, a lifelong non-drinker of 56 years, I'll tell you what happens. The first taste of alcohol is so bad he probably spits it up involuntarily, if he can drink it at all. I personally, can't even eat rum cake, I discovered that when I was in my twenties. Fruit flavors won't cover up the taste of alcohol that much, and either he forces down drinks he doesn't like, then gets sick as a dog, or he's somehow able to nurse down a drink over time which means he won't consume much alcohol.

For those and other reasons that for brevity I'll omit, I thought the sketch was unrealistic.

I actually have to apologize here as the fault, it seems, is entirely on me. I thought you were just being a jerk, but the reality of the situation is that you do not understand comedy because of your ludicrously diseased brain. Sorry.

Great thread, another one turned totally to shit. I'm disabling your accounts the next time I get over to the admin panel and this time I am not interested in seeing you both circumnavigate it by posting as guests.

That's really the only answer I wanted to hear.

Its times like this that I can appreciate the only things I need to worry about are:
  • *The constant threat of chronic homelessness.
    *Flack's scathing disregard for me.
*Chub rub between my thighs and jeans

Paul was in his 20's? I just pictured him being like 14 and skipping straight to 45.
the last group complained, quite tellingly They said, "Why don't you have a spoon that just says 'Earth?' It would save time

Retro, you freak Flack out with your constant insinuations on offing yourself. At least that is my sense. I could be completely wrong. I don't think Flack thinks you're the worst person in the world or anything. Certain... personalities have a way of overwhelming the small forums they participate on, and -- again, if I may give my impressions -- Flack desires some separation from it all.

I characterize this place as a spot where everyone is trapped together, unable to leave and we start yelling at each other. Like Red Dwarf.

Flack's place is more like an episode of Nova, except I don't know how (everyone's friend) lethargic figures into that analogy.

I hope that clears the air for everyone.

I always pictured this a tree house in an abandoned lot where the cool kids went to smoke stolen cigarettes and look at underwear sections from old Sears catalogs.

I got more of a One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest vibe, where everybody gets a turn at being Nurse Ratched and we all beg for lobotomies.

I just physically threw up while reading a current political piece, so I'm officially backing out of this race.

I figured I'd finally join this madhouse/treehouse. No promises on making the place any better. But from my lurking, it seemed this place could use a grumpy guy struggling his way through life to balance things out.

My first post accused as being from a Pinback alt? Maybe I will fit in around here.
