Anyone with a line on a Macbook?
I am helping my brother get an older Macbook that he can learn the command line and Apple's BSD on. We want to spend less than $400. It seems that 2013 era Macbooks are the way to go here. If any of you have a line on one just let me know, it would help us out a ton. Thanks.

Re: Anyone with a line on a Macbook?
I have a Macbook Pro that Truecar forgot to take back when I left. That was three years ago, I think we're clear.
Only problem is, I'm not sure how to get back into is, as I've lost all the passwords.
If you know of a way to get into it, we can start talking price. (It will be considerably less than $400.)

Re: Anyone with a line on a Macbook?
Can we do a factory reset of it? Here is a video that maybe says how until Paul arrives and gives us the correct way forward:

I guess it does seem possible after all. Thanks Google search.

Would you be willing to talk terms without knowing if you could ever log into it?
Let's get down to brass turkey here. I'm willing to make certain... allowances, based on the tenuous nature of the thing.

OK. How about this? Mailing stuff sucks. How about you get paid when it goes to the mail box center?

I don't know what that means. I'll send it to you, and if it works and you feel like paying me, then whatever.

Medium flat rate box from USPS and bubble wrap from Dollar General. That's like 15$ total shipping after purchasing.

Re: Anyone with a line on a Macbook?
It comes with it's own box, I was hoping I could just tape it up, slap an address on it and get it the hell outta here. Or is showing a "Macbook Pro" box too risky.

Re: Anyone with a line on a Macbook?
What if I just write "NOT A" with a Sharpie before the "Macbook Pro" logo?
