I was hoping for widespread riots, shootings, Donald calling his supporters to arms, and then a civil war, so that I have something interesting to watch on TV. However, if this actually happened, it would inconvenience a lot of you guys, so I now hope for nothing.

I'll be real for two seconds (no I won 't) - one of the appealing thing about Trump to some people is that he stated that all the "news" was "fake." Now, like everything else he ever did in his life, he did it because he's a self-serving, disgusting criminal narcissist and used it to his own end, calling the reporting of his countless crimes "fake." But. BUT!

In the bleeding heart and wholly liberal bubble I ensconced myself in leading up to the election there were plenty of headlines about how all of America was going to shoot each other at the polls. Didn't happen. Didn't happen because we aren't a nation of animals. We're a nation divided, we're a nation currently at each others' throats, but we've been that ever since we drove the English out of New England. There is still a contingent of people in this country that delights in whipping us all up into a frenzy on-line and that's sick.
