Do you expect the other shoe to drop?

Post by Tdarcos »

Let's face it, if Putin gets away with this for long, it will embolden China to invade Taiwan. As it has been pointed out, Taiwan does not need aircraft, as China will bomb any runways they could use in the first 30 minutes. What Taiwan needed was submarines and maybe missile launchers, hopefully in some other location., aimed right at the headquarters of the PLA (People's liberation Army) or the office of China's Head of State. Or anywhere in downtown Beijing. TheButchers of Bejing didn't care about the protesters in Tiananmen Square, they don't care about the Uyghurs upon whom they are carrying out systematic genocide and crimes against humanity,* and they won't care or give a damn about the Taiwanese, no matter how many they have to murder in the name of "reunification." If they think they can get away with it, they will.

* What the People's republic of China is doing to the Uyghur people; Internment, forced abortion, forced sterilization, forced birth control, forced labor, torture, brainwashing, alleged rape (including gang rape).

Russia does not share a border with Taiwan. I don't think you considered that.

FACT. Instead, it shared a border with Sarah Palin's backyard!

China will probably not invade Taiwan. The basic reason is that the cons outweigh the pros. The status quo is working, even if they don't like it. Taiwan is far more of a world economic force than Ukraine.

You dumbo, read it again. I said I expected China to invade Taiwan, not Russia.
