SUPER-SECRET-HINT
----------------------

One thing which is awesome in both threads you start and AIM conversations you start is to give anyone the slightest clue about what the fuck you are talking about.

"Lucas has an awful neck" - Worm, in a brand spanking new AIM window, earlier today.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.

Hahahah! He DOES though! That's great. You should have picked from one of a thousand other AIM windows that Worm will create on your system because George IS pretty hideous in that respect.

There are some images since pinner misses so much fucking TV. It's uncanny, you'd expect his face to somehow match his neck, but it doesn't. I should find some video of him doing an interview and make a GIF of that thing wobbling.

Not that Oblivion! Granted what you will experience is enternal agony and pain that Jesus could never imagine, because you didn't accept he experienced the ultimate agony and suffering, of having to die from starvation and a beating.
What would a masochistic Jesus do? Ask for a harder crucifixion next time.

I am talking about Oblivion.
Absurd examples of AI here. Here is a thread where a bunch of people don't get the game and never will get the game.

Here is the video of it. I'd direct link to the 150mb version, but I figure some of you don't use Firefox, Flashgot, Free Download Manager, and Cable Internet.

So, that's why I'm jazzed about TES IV: Oblivion.

Did you get it?

How do you think it'll run on a 6800 Ultra, 1 gig of RAM and an AMD 64 3200?

I've only got an x600 and I'm not sure if I want to upgrade to the x1600 or wait for the x1900 to drop. I'm pretty sure we're both in the clear. If not, there's always ritual suicide.

First Impressions.
  • Some of the install screen shots made me laugh. Specifically the ghost and the earnest zombie.
  • The EERRRRRRCCCHHH sound my DVD player made ... *ERRRCCCHHH* twice now. First was when it was trying to make the desktop icon, and second was when I was running the install again because the desktop icon didn't get installed or something *ERRRCCCHHH MUDA FUKA* ... THREE TIMES.
  • The dissapointment after it not installing correctly at first
  • The anticipation with finishing this post before I go to see if it installed right this time.

I'm refraining from purchasing this game until the weekend because otherwise I'm not going to get any sleep and in fit of reality-bending sleep-deprivation wind up punching my boss in the face to see if his AI responds "realistically".

Second Impressions/Advice
  • "Your settings have been set to medium." That's a boost of confidience, seeing as Bethsoft designs games for the future.
  • Combat is a knock out drag down slugfest. This doesn't bode well for my thief sometimes.
  • Make a save game in the intro area RIGHT BEFORE the brown gate in the big pipe that leads you out of the sewers. This is your last chance to edit your character. You can keep this save as a "quick creation" option if you dislike your character, or want to run two at once.
  • There are some of the most beautifully rendered ugly people in this game.
  • I want to join the Dark Brotherhood the requirement is dailing M. I want to assassinate someone in one blow. However, it doesn't seem to work out that way and they run away.

First impressions:

o EB wouldn't sell it to me so I was happy to not get it from them. I wasn't going to buy it from them anyway, but it's always nice to make the call the day of release and have the greasy shitstain on the other end of the phone desperately try to get me to buy into the pre-order concept. Surely, this is the game that's going to convince me!

They lost, right? They got swallowed up by Gamespot. I know they think that when I call them and am told that, sorry sir, we can't sell you stuff in our store ... they think that I will change my behavior. In fact, I just stopped ever buying from them. Games are no different than butter, CDs or cows. If they are in the store, sell them for Christ's sake.

o It runs really well on my PC and detected "high" settings. But it put me at 1024x768. If I wanted to game at that resolution I'd run my computer with no video card. I set it to 1280x1024 and now that I think about it, it told me that the setting would take place the next time I ran the game. Ah, well.

o I loved the zombie at the beginning, because it makes you wonder when the next one is. Free tension!

o I am actually going to have to check my settings, because I thought Morrowind was better looking.

Max Power or something stupid wrote:First, you need to download the Construction Set from the main site.

Next, under "File", select "Data" and load up oblivion.esm.

Once that has loaded up, select "Gameplay" and then "Settings".

Once this window comes up, scroll down and find the entry "sLoadingArea" and select it. In the "String Value" box, you will see "Loading area..." . Delete this and replace it with a single space (just in case it requires something there.)

Now go back to "File" and select "Save". Call this whatever you want. I suggest "Noload". It will save it as an .esp file.

You have now created your first plugin! When you load the game, go to "Data Files" and make sure your new plugin is checked.

Enjoy the outdoors without seeing "Loading area...." pop up every 3 seconds!

You guys are either so fucking FLOORED by this fantastic game that you're on the FLOOR or you are pieces of fucking pig shit!

Image
Sadly no one at Oblivion auto-named this potion Tomacco.

Hey. A cool weapon named after a cool guy. I need some more magic crystals before I can use it regularly ... which is pretty fucking gay.

And hey. Look at me!

EDIT: I also over heard "the three thugs had me cornered so I took the sweet roll and ... ". Which just filled me with immense joy.

How did you get the camera there? I remember doing it in Morrowind, but can't remember in Oblivion.

Hold the middle mouse button. Again, it's refered to as vanity mode.

Oh. I don't have one of those on any of my three computers or laptops.

There's one on Dayna's computer, but it can't run Oblivion.

I guess I'll... I'll just be over here... thasall.
