(Eric entitled his Interactive Fiction competition reviews "Mein Comp" last year and I felt that it didn't get enough recognition the first time around. So, begging his pardon... it lives AGAIN!!!)

Three games jump out at me right from the get-go -- I am downloading the ones by Mike Sousa & Jon Ingold, Paul O'Brian and J.D. Berry as I type this out. I think it's been at least a full year since there has been a full-length game released by any of those guys, right? I am more than a little pumped to start 'em up.

Mike Sousa and Jon Ingold teamed up?
I have died and gone to heaven.
I think that's all I have to say. Unless it's considered "ok" to publicly say around these parts that I was somewhat disappointed by last year's Sousa/Sherwin project, that is. If it was cool to say such things, I might have something to add. But I can't tell if it is, right? So I think I'll just shut up and won't mention the fact that Jonsey's writing is miles ahead of Robb's, at least not on JC.
Box!

I certainly hope that everybody feels free to say whatever they like on this BBS. Sure, I start threads entitled "Mein Comp" and all, but I don't want to come off as some kind of Forum Nazi. One of the reasons I like writing IF games so much is that I can get a wealth of feedback on what doesn't work, in order to get better as a writer and programmer. So, definitely -- feel free to say what is on your mind.k. roo wrote:I think that's all I have to say. That being said, I was psyched when Mike told me he was teaming up with Jon as well. After entering the last three comps, and stressing out trying to get a game finished for the 98 comp (which I aborted upon) this is the first one in about four years that I can relax and enjoy as a fan.
