Pushing Daisies.

One of those rare television-based treats where creativity has just taken steroids and is rampaging out of control all over the screen.
That's the wrong video, by the way.

Wednesday's at 9. Whenever that is. Or maybe it's 8.
That's the wrong video, by the way.

How is this going to affect our weekly Game Nite?

Dexter

Really? Hmm. Pushing Daisy is trying really, reeeally hard to be clever. It gets about 85% of the way there, too. You watch it, you think: man, I don't know how much more of this clever-sweetness I can take, and yet you do. You take it. You surprise yourself. Despite the fact that you're aware of how hard it's trying.

Once they have a couple of episodes about what the show is *about*, though, I wonder what the show is going to, you know, be about. It's going to turn into Murder She Wrote, is my fear. Murder She Wrote, with brighter digital color-correction, and more clever-sweetness.

I mean, it's all right. It's probably, even, the best of the new shows on network this fall.

But it ain't no Dexter, son.

I enjoyed the first two episodes of Pushing Daisies more than I enjoyed the first two episodes of Dexter.

(However, I enjoy the opening credits of Dexter far more than I enjoy anything else that is, or has ever been, on television.)
That's the wrong video, by the way.
