Is anyone else? I am amazed they are calling it Fallout 3, and not trying to "relaunch" the franchise.
I guess some guy put up a webcam or something after he grabbed the game from a torrent. That's sort of funny, seeing how many of the responses were, "Oh now I have gotta get this."
So here's hoping it's fun. I know very little about the game, other than the fact that it will infuriate wide sections of previous Fallout fans.
I think I am excited for Fallout 3

Yeah, I don't even need it to be an isometric game. Honestly, the tools are there if someone wants to make an isometric Fallout 3.
(... OK, I just re-read that, and it works no matter which definition of "tool" you use.)
But then, I can't remember the last good isometric game I played - I never really got into Silent Scope (I think that is what it was called? The X-COM game with the Russians?) ... I guess that leaves Jagged Alliance 2. But yeah, FO1 and 2 were a lot of fun.
The graphics on the first Fallout don't QUITE holdup, over ten years later, but not by much.
The only thing I know about Fallout 3 is that there is supposed to be a nuclear weapon in the game. I've never played a game that wasn't an RTS with an actual nuke... I mean, the thought that you can do quests in the game and stuff, plant a nuke, and have it go off and see it go off, is amazing to me.
(And if you, the player, can't personally do that, and the nuke I've seen in previews is a canned event, that's fine - but a player planting a nuke, scurrying a safe distance away and watching the world blow up needs to be in a video game.)

Clearly you have never played MDK, featuring the World's Smallest Nuclear Bomb.Ice Cream Jonsey wrote:The only thing I know about Fallout 3 is that there is supposed to be a nuclear weapon in the game. I don't think I got far enough to get to the part where there was a nuke. I remember the following about the game:
1) That it stood for Murder, Death, Kill. GEEZ, SHINY, you're psychoing up the place here!
2) That the protagonist was a doctor
3) Named Kurt, and I probably could have included this one into #2, but I am really trying to stretch this out
4) That it supported three-dee acceleration and looked amazing through my Canopus Pure 3D card
5) I remember the sniper, and how creepy the eyes of the enemies looked through the sniper's ... er... scope? Lens? Scope.
That's about all I can remember. I liked it, though.

I'm kind of annoyed with the leak since I really make an effort to buy bethesda games, also I want the bobblehead. Moreso, I really don't have the time to get ANOTHER game right now.
Though I am rock hard with anticipation. I'm sure it will get hammered, since people thought Morrowind was better than Oblivion.

Good point Bobby!
