Google Groups fucking sucks

Just taking some notes for myself, for a future article. Long story short, Google Groups has "sucked" for years. YEARS. And by sucked, I mean that search is fucking broken.

A guy for Wired wrote an article about what a worthless site it is and ho ho ho, Google finally acted and said they fixed the bug that was causing searches to not show up.

Well, I just tried searching for the word "Hugo" in rec.arts.int-fiction, and the latest result is from 2007. Amazingly, searching for other words in a thread that had the word Hugo in it shows up just fine.

That's strange; when I do a search the very first result is an announcement for Hugo 2.3 in 1997.

Oh, I meant to add: I sorted by date. Whoops! If you sort by date, do you get a result from 2009? Also: hi!
