I have no opinion either way, but here is a thread in case anyone else had a take on it.

Our TAKE? You want to know our TAKE on it?

Here's our TAKE, ready?

We also have no opinion one way or the other. In fact, it's hard to imagine a subject matter that we could possibly care LESS about, have LESS interest in, and feel LESS of a compulsion to give our "take" on.

That's our TAKE.

Just like two days ago, I installed PINE-pc (my favorite newsreader... I can't stand newsreaders that make it hard to delete posts I've already read) and started to read r*if after months of absence.

I think it's too bad that things are bad enough that people are seriously considering a moderated group (although they've considered it in the past, too), but the main reasons I stopped keeping up with r*if is because I just don't find 95% of the posts interesting. Sure, I'm giving it another chance, but I'm sure it hasn't changed that much and just hope my tolerance has built up over time. Moderation, while keeping us free of flames and trolls, also just won't make the newsgroup altogether interesting again, so for me, it's not a priority.

Of course, the main thing I think people can do to help the IF scene is to just go out and write the kind of IF they want to play. Luckily, we have Robb here to do just that while I do the exact opposite, hacking computers to destroy as much source code as I can.
