Lost phone thread

Post by AArdvark »

OK, there was a thread somewhere here where I casually mentioned that if Commodore ever made a phone it would look like this:

Well I was wrong, am wrong. But for the love of Jeebus I can't find the thread. So the apology goes here. Commodore did make a smartphone and it looks cool and I want one.

It does look cool and i'm thinking i might want one too. It's probably worth the $300 something to be able to play fucking AutoDuel natively on my phone.

It's $365 for the higher model. It's just an Android phone that comes with a port of Vice (the Commodore emulator). I want to be excited but I'm not yet.

I agree. I got an Android phone for Christmas, and I don't know if the phone dialer app is the same as on other phones but it's not just horrible, it's fucking horrible. Or maybe it's "Jesus H. Christ on a crutch (and I'm an agnostic) motherfucking horrible!" Or maybe it's...

I don't know who the people who designed the app to make and receive calls on my Alcatel One-Touch were thinking, but I suspect either they never expected to use it, or didn't think about how someone would use it.

Whoever designed this app never dogfooded it properly. I have better dialing functionality with the $2 a month Magic Jack VOIP service on my computer than I do with this... thing.
