Review - I tried Pinback's hot sauce and didn't die

Post by Jizaboz »

This was a green sauce sent to me via a sponsorship from the Flackster. I tried it both by itself on a finger tip and loaded onto tacos. Right off the bat you can taste jalepeno, but it isn't that overpowering and balanced out by some poblano peppers and some spice wizardry I don't understand that adds a slightly smokey and sweet background. It has "batch 12" and "Kat's" stamped on the label.

It's slightly hotter than texas pete sauce. Nothing to be scared of at all. I didn't die. I didn't even get heartburn! I will probably end up using the whole bottle and buying another plus perhaps one of another variety in the future. My only complaint was the plastic thing on the top of the bottle.. the sauce is a bit too thick to easy squirt out of it. I was afraid at one point I'd pull a muscle in my arm or end up with green stuff all over the place. I think I'll just remove it.. as I see no reason to use this sparingly.

Thanks! Yeah, the drip spout was a bad idea. I will leave that off the next time.

I apologize.
Am I a hero? I really can't say. But, yes.
