I've been thinking about a number of my recent posts, and have been a little surprised by how aggressive some of them have become.

I am usually a pretty laid back individual in regular life, and online.

Usually I am concerned with presenting myself civilly, being respectful to others, and doing my best to contribute things that only create value for the greater community.

Here it is like a blood covered, rage filled, take no prisoner, all out bar fight without any concern for anybody's well being or your own....Which is still really fun, don't get me wrong, but unfortunately I believe I have been predominantly the culprit in creating this environment.

That being said, I fear that I have come across a little hard on some members, so I would like to say:

Tdarcos: Sorry about the things I said to you that were uncalled for, I did not mean them, mainly I just misinterpreted the general vibe of the board, but that does not excuse what I said, or my own guilt in saying it. I am sorry.

pinback: My bad. That is the best I can give you really, because I believe you are a dangerous sociopath, and probably deserved at least some of the abuse, but I still believe I took it way out of proportion. I also noticed you were already logged on when I logged on, and are probably taking some return shots at me. If this is the case, I am going to have to smash on you pretty hard, but then I will cool my jets for the most part in the future. Nah, on second thought, I am just going to let that slide as well, unless it is particularly vicious, then I will be forced to respond. My bad, pinback.

Flack: Sorry for taking a couple of shots at Hangar-22, it was all in good fun hopefully. I really am looking forward to playing it, I am just swamped with other games right now, and life in general. And sorry for also poking fun at your dream of becoming a famous author, that was also hopefully in good fun, I believe you are a talented writer and can do whatever you set your mind to. Sorry.

Aardvark: Sorry for shitting all over your barn sale post. Barn sales are important to you, and I should respect that. Also, I am pretty sure I insinuated at least once or twice that you are a drunk, if I didn't, well I meant to at the time. I am sorry either way.

ICJ: Sorry for giving you shit about not knowing who Richard Karn is. I personally didn't think my comment was that big of a deal, but you most certainly did, enough so that you voiced your disapproval with me, and I should have respected that. Also, sorry for spreading the rumor around the board that you gave me a $20 gift card to Sizzler, this never happened, I don't even know where a Sizzler is around me, I just like saying the word Sizzler, plus their food looks there pretty mediocre. Also, sorry for poking fun at the archaic software that keeps this forum going, it was all in good fun, and I really appreciate the time and money you sacrifice in order to create an environment that everyone can get together and have a good time in. Sorry if I spoiled any of that good time with my attitude.


Well, I think that about wraps that up, if I forgot about you, please be sure to mention it in the comments below, at which point I will reference it with the actual board to see if a transgression did occur, and I will come back and address it.

Also, I feel like relocating to the opposite side of the country in the next two weeks, so I probably won't be on for a long time, I will be leaving in less than a fortnight (first use of "fortnight" in my life that is actually applicable to real life events!!! SCORE!!!!). I will still pop on occasionally until then. No, I am not going to prison. No, I am not going on the lam. No, I am not about to put a pistol in my mouth. No, I am not dying of any disease that I know of. No, pinback did not chase me away like everyone says he did to everyone else, his insults are honestly very weak, I feel the least I could do is absolve him of any meritless rumors of my disappearance. No, I don't pay child support, so I am not ducking out on anybody. I just feel like a change of scenery. It was fun getting to know everyone here, I still want to remain on the Cyberganked mailing list as I still want to purchase a copy. I am hoping everyone will still be here when I return! It is kind of weird that I am having such an emotional response to this because not only am I an empty meat suit of a human being, but also because I just met you guys like 4 days ago...either way, you guys are the best!! I tried to post a response earlier but my computer froze, requiring a reboot. Then all of my stored information vanished, all the saved passwords, everything. Fortunately Firefox has an online sync and I was able to recover everything. That is a common "problem" in on-line communities, where the sweetest and nicest people in real life can turn into bastards once they get a taste of anonymity or pseudo-anonymity, where they can pretty much say anything about anybody and get away with it, often because - and I've done it too - we forget there is a real human being, with feelings, on the other side of the glass.

But remember this, everyone that is here has known each other for years. Which means we're seasoned veterans of the Internet and we're supposed to have thick skins. If you can't take being hit with blast-furnace level hot insults, you have no business being on the Internet.

Im generally a nice guy in person but I relish conflict with people I deem lesser or supposed authority. Here I just love conflict in general.

I like to the think of the top 4 or 5 forums as a reality check for when Robb gets cocky.

Ben is simply boring now since he quit drinking so he is useless. The adding a kid thing is worth keeping an eye out for though. Because as we all now, adding kids solves everything.

This is "younger brother syndrome". It is difficult growing up with a smarter, probably more loved sibling, so they have to act hard all the time to fill that emotional void. My uncle Larry had to go through the same thing. Unfortunately, he dealt with it by dying of a heroin overdose.

While I respect your honesty, I have decided that the best course of action for me would be to remain on the forum in an attempt to redeem myself, and make amends for my previous statements.

I would like to know what initially prompted you to begin characterizing me as a sociopath, a degenerate, all those other nasty names you called me. As far as I recall, I tried to engage in some fun banter about Tappy Tibbons, and since then you took it upon yourself to criticize one of my other websites, and then launch into what I consider an unprecedented string of unprovoked personal attacks.

I want to know what I could have done to prevent that.
