ICJ, you really can imagine pinner picking the zerg? He's going to go Protoss, no shit.

by pinback » Tue Jun 05, 2007 12:06 pm

I haven't gotten to the Zerg part of the game yet, so I will only be able to marine-rush you.

I am fully expecting you and Pinback to zerg rush me 10 times, win 10 times and pronounce yourselves King and Clown Prince of the Internet. So I will read up on how to stop the initial zerg rush and defeat it. Man, this sounds like fun already! Starcraft is terrible and the two of you are terrible for wanting to play and zerg rush me.

Burying someone doesn't involve asking for zerg to be turned off, you know that, right?

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Tue Jun 05, 2007 6:14 am

I'll bury each one of you in Starcraft. And when I do, the only women crying will be fat, Soviet-era, blobspheres, where people say, "Is that your fourth aunt?" and not attractive, shapely, ready-to-bloom girls. Your burials will be UNCOMFORTABLE, bitches.

by pinback » Mon Jun 04, 2007 11:07 pm

Damn straight.

Get yer paper-eatin' dentures out, Jones. I'm 'bout to teach you a new meaning(*) of "ream".

(*) technically the original meaning

by Worm » Mon Jun 04, 2007 7:14 pm

Really? I'm going to dig up my old Starcraft CD and play pinner if he wants. The entire time we're going to talk about what a fucking maggot you are.

by Ice Cream Jonsey » Mon Jun 04, 2007 7:10 pm

"Zerg rush."

Fuck Starcraft.

by pinback » Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:47 pm

Trash? Ain't no Starcraft.

How can anyone dislike Starcraft? I mean, unless you're all "I don't care for RTSses."

I MUST KNOW

I was going to say "Zork I" but it had a sequel. You could buy it 9 years later. I can't even get to 9 years later, sequel or not.

It is coming up on its 7th anniversary.

Rollercoaster Tycoon has a sequel. Half-Life has a sequel. Could you buy Duke Nukem 3D in 2005? I guess that's the only one I can think of that even comes close. Space Invaders for the Atari 2600?

WHEN WE TRASHIN IT

by AArdvark » Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:46 pm

Are we talking only PC games or consoles too? I think the original Sneaky Bastard has been out for quite some time and it's still available. Wait I take that back, you don't include bargain bin sales, right? Then never mind...

WHEN WE TRASHIN IT??

What other game has been around nine years, never had a sequel, and that you can still be pretty sure you can pick up a copy at any random Best Buy/CompUSA/Circuit City you happen to stop in at? Is that unprecedented?
Never had a sequel? So Diablo II counts, right? DAMMIT THIS IS CRITICAL, ANSWER THE QUESTION!

by AArdvark » Mon Jun 04, 2007 3:40 pm

and Starcraft 2 comes out soon, prolly around the holidays.

You can't buy Warcraft I.

You can probably buy Warcraft III, but that's only a few years old.

by Worm » Mon Jun 04, 2007 2:11 pm

Warcraft I guess. Blizzard makes games that people love.

by pinback » Mon Jun 04, 2007 1:50 pm

I was actually talking about StarCraft.

Also, it occurred to me after I stopped by Best Buy and picked up one of the several remaining StarCraft Battle Chest boxes, this question:

What other game has been around nine years, never had a sequel, and that you can still be pretty sure you can pick up a copy at any random Best Buy/CompUSA/Circuit City you happen to stop in at?

Is that unprecedented?

There a single player version of it now? Aces.

I don't have a problem with it. I think the multiplayer version was awesome. I wish I had a "Pinblack" character I could blame. I have these questions:

1) Was Mark going to give you the single player missions, and you just re-bought it because you're that kind of guy?

2) WHEN WE TRASHING IT?!?!?! I will take a day's vacation for this.

If Pinback actually plays Starcraft I will eat a piece of paper out of my printer.
I have re-bought the game, and am now playing through it in earnest. I am on Terran mission 7.

This game rules! What is Jonsey's fucking problem with it?

That display in Trash would serve just as much purpose if it said:

TRASH: You Need More
GAS/PEOPLE: You Need More
POWER: If You Are Human, You Need More

Because these are always, always the case.
