He was great as the bad guy in Baldur's Gate II, one of the best voice-acting attempts in video game history. Listening to him after hearing Shatner give a straight read of the Star Trek adventure game lines like he was reading a phone book was amazing - it DOES come down to whether or not you give a shit, and David Warner DID. What a pro.

I checked IMDB so someone couldn't (correctly) say he was in any episode after I said he wasn't, so I can say with confidence that Paul Sorvino was never on The Sopranos. But let's try answering your question.pinback wrote: Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:28 amMan, you better know your gangsters mister, because you sure don't.
According to Wikipedia, the following persons starred in The Sopranos, and IMDB lists number of episodes:
- James Gandolfini • Tony Soprano • 86 episodes • d. 2013
- Lorraine Bracco • Dr. Jennifer Melfi • 71 episodes • Not dead
- Edie Falco • Carmela Soprano • 85 episodes • Not dead
- Michael Imperioli • Christopher Moltisanti • 83 episodes • Not dead
- Dominic Chianese • Junior Soprano • 55 episodes • Not dead
- Steven Van Zandt• Silvio Dante • 79 episodes • Not dead
- Tony Sirico • Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri • 74 episodes • d. July 6, 2022
- Robert Iler • A.J. Soprano • 76 episodes • Not dead
- Jamie-Lynn Sigler • Meadow Soprano • 73 episodes • Not dead
- * Aida Turturro • Janice Soprano • 53 episodes • Not dead
- * Steve Schirripa • Bobby 'Bacala' Baccalieri • 53 episodes • Not dead
* Not listed in Wikipedia, but appeared in at least 50 episodes
Rhetorical question or not, of the top stars in the show, only two of them have died. And your reference to Goodfellas wasn't that far off, Wikipedia says 27 of the actors appearing in that movie appeared in the series.

ICJ was confused, and TDR pulled the motherfucking FACT TRAIN into the station, that's what happened.

Now I know. And knowing is half the battle. Thanks, Commander.
How come that guy wasn't on The Sopranos?

Re: I can't believe Tdarcos outlived....
Very good question!
From the World Headquarters of Viridian Development Corporation in Arlington, Virginia, here are the Top 10 reasons a performer doesn't appear in a show:
10. They're dead.
9. They are retired from acting.
8. It's too soon (or they're too exhausted) after playing a grueling part in an earlier project, or their significant other objects for right now.
7. Wrong color for a race-specific role (would you expect a white man to play the starring role in a movie about Martin Luther King, Jr?) or gender (would you expect a white man to play the the starring role in a movie about Bette Davis?).
6. Role is out of character (would you believe Fred Rogers playing the starring role in a movie about Jeffrey Dahmer?) or would taint them (playing a sadisic mass murderer, rapist, or mattress tag remover, etc.)
5. Role doesn't pay enough or they're not desperate enough to take it.
4. They're busy doing something else or they have contractual obligations that prohibit it.
3. Objects to working with the director, producer, co-star, or for a comercial, don't like the sponsor or object to its practices.
2. They're not a good fit for the role, or can't or won't make the effort to gain or lose weight or whatever is necessary to look like the character.
And now, the #1 reason a performer doesn't appear in a show:
1. They weren't asked to appear on the show.

I bet he auditioned but every time somebody said something to the character Paulie, he'd go, "WHAT???"

Re: I can't believe Tdarcos outlived....
Trivia fact: Paul Sorvino was hired to sing the word "believing" in the final Sopranos episode but got cut out at the last minute.
