Ya know, I contemplated posting a pic of Lt. Saavik but her character was a little too severe for the spank bank. Plus, you know, ears.

Image search tells me that uniform was the Pittsburgh Steelers and #32 is Franco Harris. He was 72 years old. Here is his picture sans helmet:

One airport employee was killed at the Montgomery Regional Airport in Alabama on Saturday [12/31], after the individual was sucked into the engine of an American Airline subsidized plane, airport authorities confirmed.

The employee, identified only as a baggage handler, was killed while the American Airlines flight was waiting at its gate. The plane was scheduled to depart for Dallas later Saturday afternoon, according to news site WSFA-12.

Washington Examiner, 12/31: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... ane-engine

And for those who want to see what it looked like, there is a video on YouTube showing a computer simulation of a person sucked into a jet engine. It is not gratuitously gory, although it gives a fairly explicit display of what happens:

I haven't watched Eight is Enough for twenty years, but I remember that. I believe that picture was the kid playing Noodles err I mean Nicholas. I checked Wikipedia, I had forgotten the character Joanie.

Adam Rich played Nicholas.

The preceding picture is of Jeff Beck, the best guitarist you've never heard of.

Considered one of, if not the greatest guitarist who ever lived; he was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He's one of Rolling Stone's top five, and was well respected in the music industry, even if he never got the kind of fame many of his peers received. Beck died 2023-01-10 in East Sussex, England. Beck was 71.

I never heard of him until two days ago. And you, you complain about... No, never mind, I'm not going there, Someone has to choose to not throw the next rock or the war never ends. I so choose.

You made a flat generalization that is probably false. Anyone living in unteachable areas has heard of Jeff Beck. Deaf people. Those who don't follow music performers. I'm sure there's several million people who have never heard of Jeff Beck.
