Another person has been shot by the police. Another community is in outrage over it.

Now, I get it. Yes there are bad cops out there. Sure, there are racist cops out there. Yes, there needs to be accountability. We cant have a society where the police are allowed to walk around shooting random people.

So I would like to present...

Da King's List of Ways To Not Get Shot By The Police.

1. Do not commit crimes.
2. Do not run away from the police when they are questioning you.
3. Do not carry a BB gun that looks like a Glock and takes removable cartridges, like a real 9mm gun.
4. Do not display that gun to the police when they are chasing you.

Honestly, do ANY of these things, and you probably dont get shot. If you do all 4 of these things, you are making a series of bad choices.

I dont want to blame a 13 year old for making bad choices. That is 5 years younger than my kid, and 13 year olds are incredibly stupid. Is it fair to blame the parents? Maybe. Is it fair to blame the rathole of a city named "Utica"? Probably. Kids have nothing else to do there. Is it fair to blame the police? Nope. They were put in a bad situation, and this kind of shit needs to stop.

Of course it will take thousands of years for any visible changes to appear in the fossil record so patience is needed on our part.

First off, your first point is moot because these children didn't commit any crimes. Where did you even pull that information from? "Gun" or not though, some dumbass Cop decided that a RESTRAINED CHILD BEING PUNCHED IN THE FACE was supposedly enough of a threat that an aimed shot in the chest was called for.

If your decision making process puts the capability of A CHILD armed or not against three fully armed and armored trained Police Officers as enough of a threat to aimbot him in the chest, you are in the wrong.

Let me also reiterate this one more time: the child HADN'T COMMITTED A CRIME.

If any of those dead eyed meat popsicles are able to walk back into the station and not receive immediate commendation by their colleagues for murdering an innocent child, that is officially bullshit. Those aren't men, those are assholes who are so incompetent that they shouldn't even be legally allowed access to a water pistol.

The children were being questioned because they matched the description of two suspects who had just committed a burglary.

Any my point is NOT moot at all.

Don't commit a crime. (Maybe they did, maybe they didn't).
Dont run away from the cops when they say they are going to frisk you. (They did.)
Dont carry a BB gun that looks like a legit 9mm gun. (They did.)

The kid displayed the gun to the cop as he was being chased. The puts the cop in a position to make a split second decision on the next step. Bad shit happens when people are put in that position.

The TRULY scary thought in this head is that you think that point of this is to say it's OK to kill kids. Never once did I say that.

I am simply pointing out all of the decisions that one can make to keep oneself OUT of that position.

There were several decisions that the kid could have made before the police had to make a single decision, and any of those would have kept him out of harm's way.
